I took copious notes, filled many notebooks, and put them in a closet. A few years back, I found them all and threw them out.
During the time I was a dub, the only time I ever looked back at my notes was when we had convention reviews.

We were encouraged to take notes mainly at assemblies. I think it was a tactic to keep us awake You could pretty much gage my "spiritual progress" by my notes. When my ex was a MS and we were hitting the spiritual highway hard my notes spanned pages and pages....when we were just making the appropriate noises about meeting attendance to keep family members happy my notes were full of drawings and back and forth patter between the two of us.
It is fun when you find a notebook to reflect back on those times.

As i suspected, no-one seems to have actually used their meeting notes - so what were they for? seems to ba valid question.

LOL, you seem to forget Ozzie, we are all EX- dubs. No wonder we slacked in some areas, like notes taking.
We had one very zealous young lad, who was the son of an elder and a pioneer himself ... no doubt will be made elder some day. After the assembly he would take us, at the next meeting, through his notes every time. Reminding us all how important it was to take em.
