the diving in Cancun is fab, I did my PADI advanced the year before last out there. Problem is that Cancun is a hole with little more to do than get drunk in crappy bars on the days you aren't diving

I like all inclusive vacation packages. I fell in love with the sandals resorts. Pricey but I think worth it. Before I die I want to go to all of them. Total relaxation and beautiful beaches. If you really want to splurge try their spas. It's heaven.
Then there is http://www.clubmed.com/
I went one time and did not like it. The resort I went to was a non stop party. I knew that but I went anyway. Live an learn. The GOs (hosts) would not leave me in peace. God forbid that I was not getting drunk, dancing, or chatting with everyone in sight. I know they have some family resorts that are not like that.

Bora Bora and Fiji,
I was thinking of these last night after I posted. Yes! And in our summer/hurricane/rainy season, is their non-hurricane season.
BoraBora and Mo'orea in Fr. Polynesia/Marquesas are considered two of the most beautiful islands in the world. Kevan, who sailed there 30 years ago concures. We have a friend who goes to Fiji every two or three years because they love it. I hear the Cook islands are awesome, too.
I believe Madiera is in Spain, famous for it's wine of same name. Yes, Spanish/French/Monoccoan riviera could include hedonism... Monacco is as famous for it's casinos as for it's beaches.
