Thanks so much for the warmth ... Honesty - YES, my children left with me. We are a very happy, well balanced family now. My main goal in life is to teach them to be their own person and never let anyone judge them. Even though their father, step mom and granny are witness they have absolutely NO influence on them. They have tasted freedom and they never want to go back to being bored, lonely, isolated people. My 16 year old son is on his way to a School Dance and my 13 year old daughter's on her way to a B'day party!

    Welcome Sweet Tee

So what are you doing with your kids? Are they still going with their dad to meetings?

Your story resembles mine. Loved the concept of the paradise, which seemed to overshaddow all the wacko teachings eventually introduced. Jumped right on the fastrack to pioneering and skipped college. Married a witness man who had no ambition, sat on the couch all day and didn't work (didn't even want to pick up his damn employment check!). He eventually went back to mommy and daddy after I left him and that religion and there he still lives working for daddy and becoming an elder - LOL.

I just keep trying to figure out how to help my poor confused daughter who is still going to meetings and out in service when she's with dad but I'm so happy to be away from that drama religion!

Adelmaal ? Wow! Your ex-wasband sounds JUST like mine. Only difference is he found a sweet hardworking sister to marry ? the dubs didn?t tell her he was a lame and a deadbeat until after the wedding ? when she started complaining they were like ?oh, you didn?t know? that?s why his last wife left him (lol). She?s a sweetheart though ? she?s real good to my kids, doesn?t force them to go to the meetings on the rare occasions when he does pick them up. I wish I could help open her eyes to the truth about the truth before she wastes too many more years on that loser ? I felt like I was the husband and he was the WIFE (thus the term wasband ;-)

    !

And to your questions about how do I deal with him and the kids as far as the faith is concerned, He?s so trifling he doesn?t take them to the meetings or field service now (thank goodness). I don?t know how I would deal with that if he did ? but believe me ? I Would.
