Well, I have not seen the movie yet but, we are going to see it tonight...My boys both box for competions and are very much excited about seeing it...I also saw last night at the Oscars that it cleaned up....
My question is this, is this movie exceptable for a 13 year olds to watch it?? Is it really that bad??? I am fine with my 16 year old seeing it but now I question weather my youngest can watch it or not now??

since when do we have to know the exact plot of a movie before we see it? i'd rather know as little as possible. i've read so many reviews saying that this movie was marketed deceitfully.
cmon...when has a clint eastwood movie ever been heartwarming? or straightforward, for that matter?
this is a dark movie about conflicted characters making decisions i would never want to have to make. i thought good art was supposed to make you feel something. even if its pain.
if you want a straightforward heartwarming movie, go get something with the olsen twins. and what's with doggin movies you haven't even seen?
i'm just glad the aviator didn't win best picture. now that's a stinker.

Morton, from my point of view, I would let my kids see the movie. This not about porn. Things of this nature happens in life. We do live in a dark world, knowing such stuff helps us from being taken by surprise. I grew up on the tough side of the street, don't worry about your kid handling it, even if he doesn't, he gets to see the other side, as they say, that's life!
