It may sound horrible, but I really wish I could go back and do that! I think I would rather lie to myself, and be loved by my family! I cant say that I dont believe that most of its the truth, I have only a handfull of arguments. And I do believe Jehovah knows this, and wont let me die in armagedon because Im human and imperfect!!!!!!

Doesn't sound horrible to me - just sounds human.! My daughter is thinking of getting Reinstated due to a desire to associate with her grandma before Grandma dies.{she is 80 and in poor health] I encouraged her to do that. Grandmas should not have to sacrificed due to the teachings of a publishing company in Brooklyn, should they? Just my opinion Jeff

Leading a double life sounds like alot more fun that being disf! Have your cake and eat it too. I also have a grandpa, in his 90's. I'm afraid I wont be able to go to his funeral. I guess I still could, but no-one would talk to me. I dont know, are you allowed to do that?

Three days and counting for my df. I would have to quit smoking and get married before they would consider reinstating me. And then of course the period of time it takes before they are done punishing me.4-6 months.

cindykp .. are you disfellowshipped yet? If not, it isn't too late to do something about it.

cindykp .. sorry to be overlapping your posts. Sounds like you still have three days to change things around, if you really want to. A lot easier to handle it now than to try later. They will give you time to quit smoking and either get married or live alone.

I am going to be disfellowshipped, so that I cant do anything about. I cant appeal it, its been over a week. But........My family keeps telling me to hang in there, if I straighten out my situation, it would be a short term DF. But, my family also told me before I went to the elders meeting that I would not be disfellowshipped. No way no how. So I went in thinking the worst would be a public reproof. Man, was I floored with their decision! Now Im just bitter I guess. Maybe it will pass, or maybe not.

They dont give you time anymore!!!!!!!!!! That must have been an olden day rule. I told them I was trying to quit, and that we would get married, it didnt matter. They couldnt let me go associate with the lifestyle im living. (living with fiance)
