Will it be the same old same old, or will there be something new added? Was Judas there or not? Anyone know in advance if the outline has been changed? I have an old outline copy, I will post it later, gotta go for now.

Of course not. Different people ... Same expression.

And the same sister, who everyone knows is crazy as a bedbug, partaking 'cause she decided she's anointed.

I would go just for kicks, but my mom would get too happy and think I've come around.

Actually, it would be nice if it WERE like the old Memorial Talks......hell, Judas Iscariot hasn't been mentioned at my Memorial talk in years. They barely mention Jesus anymore for god's sake. I'd say 3/4 of the talk is focused on the identity of the 144,000......

Here's a link to this very topic that I did last year after attending the Memorial. www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/69592/1.ashx

I was quite disgusted. I used to enjoy the Memorial talk years ago when they'd actually discuss in some detail, the Israelites leaving Egypt, the actual Last Supper and the events leading up to it. Now there's barely any mention at all of this stuff. They gloss over it and then fast-forward to the scriptures about the "little flock" and then in Revelation talking about the 144,000 and the New Covenent......it's really lame with the obvious agenda to promote the Governing Body's position right below (or beside) Jehovah's.

It rather takes the edge off what the memorial is all about really doesnt it?

I remember having a tape of a talk entitled 'jesus last days on earth' and it was the most moving talk i heard...surely if you believe that Jesus died for our sins then this should be focus of the memorial the fact that he died and did it for humanity.

All this 144'000 bollocks just clouds the issue.

You want to think about Christ's sacrifice, watch Mel's The Passion of the Christ, not listen to a lame talk at the memorial which I totally agree with all the above that says next to nothing about Christ and just jabbers on about the GB's wet dream of being annointed.

The current theme of the memorial talk: "We are going to offer you the bread and wine but you sure as hell better not take any."
