All I can say is, unbelievable, I came on this forum unhappy with the org, but not with the doctrines.

It took only a few hours before I realised the truth about the truth, and id been in for 20 years!!!!!!!!1

With all the experiences shes heard here, shes still going to go into the fire.

I just hope it doesnt take her 20 years to realise whats she done, and I hope to god shes hasnt small children

Maybe, when shes been baptized for 6 months and all the love bombing stops, and it will shell come to here senses. I hope so

Holly if your reading this goodluck your going to need it

if you can be misjudged and badly hurt and then punished for something that isnt your fault, and you can bow to that punishment and accept it, and forgive those people that did it to you, and accept that punishment like it was your fault, even when it wasnt, then i think you have found the true meaning of love and forgiveness,

    Holly,

That is not the meaning of love and forgivness. That is the meaning of being a doormat and a victim. That is the meaning of being a perfect target for an abuser.

In contrast, the Bible says love is kind, according to 1 Corinthians 13.

Best wishes and sorry I can't turn off the yellow!

Hey holly, go and do what u want, but do NOT tell ME or ANYONE ELSE we are wrong in our decision. u make decisions for yourself, and thank u very much I'll make them for myself.

So a big to u for those comments.

I am mostly a nice person and poster, but your post just rang of the same old BS I've heard all my life and I'm not going to take it anymore.

lisaBobeesa ... are you saying Christ Jesus is a "doormat and a Victim"?

But taking parting shots at people who tried to help her by honestly and earnestly answering her questions... that is truly a shameful way to behave.

    It sure is.

    Holly,

i believe this. if you can be misjudged and badly hurt and then punished for something that isnt your fault, and you can bow to that punishment and accept it, and forgive those people that did it to you, and accept that punishment like it was your fault, even when it wasnt, then i think you have found the true meaning of love and forgiveness, and hold the keys to the kingdom.

How can I bow to a punishment that wasn't mine to rightfully accept? I indeed forgave those who went against me not for the Law of God but the Law of Imperfect Men. I stuck it out for so long and was bashed against a brick wall over and over again to something even my Uncle who is in Bethel and who has well known by all said it was wrong for what they have done. What am I supposed to think if he and many Elders and MS ect.... found it wrong for what they did to My husband and I? If the GB appoints these men to guide us and then its half and half thinking doesn't make sense. I don't want to be 50% right and 50% wrong. I don't want to follow teachings that never seem clear about. When the time comes for the end of my life I will and only answer to God. God is the one who exacts Punishment for me. I will not let men destroy me and lead me in a path which is not acceptable to God and his Word.

1 TH 4: 6 that no one go to the point of harming and encroach upon the rights of his brother in this matter, because Jehovah is one who exacts punishment for all these things, just as we told YOU beforehand and also gave YOU a thorough witness

If you find it in your heart to be a Jehovah's Witness then so be it and I hope you will be happy. I truly mean that I may disagree with your actions as you do mine but Let God be the Judge! Much Happiness in your Journey though Life!

    AFIN,

Why are you twisting her words?

are you saying Christ Jesus is a "doormat and a Victim"?

AFIN, whoa... never thought of it like this... EVER. But now that you mention it, IF Jesus ministry, arrest and crucufixion happened in the way the Gospels claim it did, then YES, he was a doormat and a victim. The NT writers may wish to spin him as a martyr and a "propitiatory sacrifice," as if it were noble and redeeming and "Christian," but IMO, if that happened to anyone else... they would be viewed as a victim.

Jesus was a victim. Maybe a victim of his own ideology, but a victim.
