Watch it, your going to get all the exMormon women mad at me for inviting you over to our site. This cross couture thing was meant to share thoughts and feelings about being brought up in a cult. It is not for picking up chicks. None of the guys on this board would think of going over to the exMormon board to meet women. I think that a calendar featuring these decent, strong-minded women of the site in suggestive poses in beautiful scenery would be degrading and immoral. I therefore suggest we hold a wet t-shirt contest instead.

I know you meant your comment as a joke and I am the last guy to try and be serious in a forum such as this and the exMorman board. But with all joking and sexual connotation aside I find that women can make pretty good friends in a platonic way of speaking. I enjoy having women as friends and have had such for most of my life. Physical attractiveness is not the key factor in meeting other women and getting to know them as a friend. I have found that some of the women on the exMorman board share the same level of humor and insight as those we call friends on this board.

Even though I have had to learn this the hard way I have a strong conviction in the old saying, Looks aren't everything. Fortunately for all us poor guys on this board the women here seem to posses both inner and outer beauty. We can joke with them and have them throw it back at us quicker than we can duck. It's fun and it's comforting to see that kind of friendship between men and women. It amazes me how women from both boards can joke about life and have a healthy out look after being raised or involved with a cult that has told them they are below the level of second class citizens and they are more or less to remain seen and not heard. As much as all of us have had to endure some psychological bullshit the exJW and exMormon women that I have met have made a longer and more difficult journey to find themselves then did the men. They amaze me. Filtering out the sarcasm and reading a little between the lines I find women like Redhorsewoman, Ginney, Mommy, Riz, Wassasister, Think41self, Harmoney,VeniceIT
and many many more on both boards to be not only remarkable women but also remarkable people.

I realize this little spiel is going to make it hard for me to give them any shit in the next few days but that's part of fun. I have two modes, serious and not serious, I spend very little time in the middle area. Once in a while you just have to give credit where credit is due and deal with the harassment later.

So go visit the ladies on the exMormon board, I think you will find them as intelligent, warm hearted and as frightening as the ones on this board. They don't have the little pictures sitting next to their names like on this board, but I think you might find out they are just as beautiful as the ones here.
