I was going to jump in with the F&DS thing, but I think I misunderstood your question. Do you mean the lie that the individual JW's tell, the rank and file?
If so, then I'd go with the one they tell themselves -- they've proven that they have the truth. They've done "outside research", they haven't just listened to what they've been told, they've 'made sure of all things'.
