Just pm'd this to AFIN. Hope she responds.

    Hey AFIN,

Look, we've not seen eye to eye on things. I've done my share of "AFIN bashing" and I'm sorry about it. I don't agree with you, but what I really don't agree with is the organization you represent. I don't even *know* you.

You're doing what you think is right and what you think your god wants you to do.

I'm sure from your perspective, everybody is patting Sword on the back soley because they feel like he is now getting on their side. "Punish those that don't agree, reward those that do." It isn't really like that. From my perspective it's "Explain why you disagree with those you disagree with, explain why you agree with those you agree with." Naturally, if things heat up, comments are made that aren't necessary and even turn into character-bashing. Nothing to be gained there.

I agree with Sword's decision to consider things from all angles. I disagree with his view that there's a god he must worship. I don't have to punish or reward him, I just have those views.

I don't mean to "punish" you for your views, I only mean to disagree with them and open up discussion on them. I hope you can see the difference and understand there's no malice in disagreeing.

I'm going to post this, too, so you understand I'm not being hypocritical with you. Reply in pm, publicly, or not at all. I'm trying to force anything on you.

    Good thread CJ!

I personally think that AFIN has his right to think what he/she wants to. [Now I am confused as to gender, though I thought AFIN was male before this thread - no insult intended here]

What I object to is the 'hit and run' style he uses! Just like we used as witnesses in the door to door. Never hear anything logical or thought-provoking coming back from the comment we just made. Blitzkrieg! Then run to the next thread and do it again.

I have been a significant non-supporter of AFIN - but I do hope he, like all dubs, eventually comes to his senses. Otherwise he might end up 'getting it' when he is old and grey and wasted his whole life. That would be a shame - I have seen hundreds do that already. I don't wish it upon him. So this site might be his best hope for learning the truth about the 'Truth'. I hope he does! Just look at the latest by SOJ - one never knows -

I will reiterate my post from SOJ's thread ...

I have never lived my life as a JW, yet I know wholeheartedly that God has blessed me 1000 times over in my life. How do you explain that, AFIN? Or my husband, who lived 8 years as an "Apostate" while he was DA - his life was never better than in those 8 years. He got a fantastic job, found "the woman of his dreams" (his words), married, has two beautiful children, amazing friends, and for ONCE in his life he was truly happy (unlike in his previous years as a JW, where he was miserable, depressed, suicidal, etc)!! How do you explain that, AFIN?

Are you so simple minded to think that there is only happiness within the organization? You are so wrong. But then again, you wouldn't know that, would you?

RS I was hoping you would find this thread . I saw your post in SOJ's thread and I thought oh no, another hijacking.

That's why I thought I better start this one, because I was going to lace into AFIN there too.

There is NOTHING positive in this one. Just fear.

    AFIN
Consider your life as it is today. Your worst day as a member of Jehovah's Witnesses is going to be better than any day as an apostate.
What hope is there outside of the organization???

AFIN does more good than she(?) can possibly realize. I?ve started to believe that when AFIN posts she?s(?) trying to convince herself(?). I think there?s gonna be another existential crisis a? coming up.

Good point Steve. And thus far that's about all I've seen from AFIN.

I think AFIN has some serious belief issues. Why hang around a group of people who would be considered as "bad association" by the ORG. Obviously, AFIN has to keep making these lame and arrogant postings to reassure him/herself. Or AFIN has delusions of his/her postings bringing some new revelation to all of us. I think AFIN should seriously consider why he/she posts here and reevaluate his/her own faith and beliefs. Otherwise, AFIN just likes to be annoying and needs to get another hobby..
