Absolutely gutted tonight......got in from work and my sisters dog "Lady" had just passed away. I missed her literally by 5 minutes. She hadn't been ill and had been out for a walk this morning as usual, when my sister came in from work she was just laid in her basket, but was barely alive, fixed eyes and very shallow breathing, I think she must have had a stroke at some point this afternoon. I like to think that she hung on for my sister to get home......even if that does sound silly. Even though she was a scruffy black mongrel, she was never any trouble at all, always so friendly and used to wag her tail so hard that her back half of her body would wiggle back and forth like mad! My sister lost her other dog Kate last year, so there's just Millie left to keep us smiling.
The strange thing was is that I borrowed a digital camera off of a friend on Tuesday and went round there and took a few photo's of her sitting by the fire like she loved.......at least when I get them uploaded it will be a nice reminder of her.
Goodnight "Lades" .....you faithful ol friend, 14 years of happy memories.
I know this doesn't make much sense to people who don't get attatched to animals, but DAMN!! Why do dogs have to do this to you.
