  My mother was out in pioneer service yesterday with another sister. Their car was broadsided by another car, running a red light, drunken driving, and both women were tragically hurt. My Mother sustained head injuries, and some other broken bones. The other sister is in ICU. Although I know this place is for XKWs, can you please say a prayer, send good thoughts or at least take a minute out of your day to think about them? Their names are Anne and Eunice. Anne is from England, and she is a very sweet and caring person. My mother is... well... my Mom. <sob>

  Thanks candid... Thats so very sweet of you. Although she drives me crazy with her Jehovahness.. I still love my Mom to death.. Thanks for your prayers.

  Oh my gosh, countrygirl, this is aweful. JW or not, no one deserves to be in
  their situation. I am so sorry, sending ((((hugs)))) to you, and thinking of your
  mom and her friend. Please, let us know how they are doing when you
  get some more information. I truly hope they are ok!

  Thanks everyone who is up at tis late hour and replying, your heartfelt thougts are so gratifying. My Mother, as I undersand it, flew out of the vehicle and hit the pavement. She has a cracked skull, and a few broken ribs, but they have sent her home. !?!?!??!? I am not sure why. I am waiting for a call from the doctor to explain how she can go home? I will go over there early tomorow to take care of her. She has four studies at the jail tmorrow and she wants to go on em.. but I guess I'll take care of *that*.

  Sister Faulkner is in ICU in Brackenridge Hospital and is hanging on for dear life. She was the one that ws hit the worst. I will keep you updated on her condition. I love this lady.. she's incredible. If there ever was a beautiful lovely and charitable person, she's it.

  Thanks, so much Talesin. My Mom is home, but conked out. I'm gonna go over there tomorrow morning and take care of her. She THINKS she is going to go on her bible studies, but I THINK NOT. My Mother is one of them women that will walk to the Kingdom Hall even if her leg is broke. I get my wonderful sense of guilt from her. heh. Those ladies at the jail will just have to keep their hineys in the clink, cuz Mom is not going to grace their presence tomorrow. If she gives me ANY CRAP, I'll put her in the nut house. There is NO LOGICAL SENSE for a woman with broken ribs, and a fractured skull to be galavanting around town. I am not even SURE why she is NOT in the hospital......They said she has to stay in the bed 14 days,. and by good gawl darn SHE WILL if I cna help it.

  She needs to pray for Sister Falkner, one of the nicest ladies I know.

  Drunk drivers make me mad it's always the innocent people that have to suffer.
