I'm obnoxious so unless they have told the hospital not to let me in, I'll make contact somehow...there was a suggestion of flowers earlier....or maybe I will go visit and hide her nurse buzzer and read her a few chapters of CoC while she's stuck there in bed ! LOL I shouldn't run into many dubs...the last time she was in the hospital for 3 or 4 day and not 1 showed up to check on her.

This is one of those things that angers me to no end. I wonder how many JWs pull this kind of stunt - they won't bother to contact DFd family members when they are having a health crisis - and then once it's over they put on their sackcloth and take on the martyr role "I can't understand why <DFd son/daughter> didn't visit me in hospital - I guess they really hate me" and slam their DFd family members to The Friends? at the KH. They need to perpetuate their persecution complex.

rw: I bet your parents aren't even expecting a visit from you and probably haven't informed the hospital staff that you might show up. Even so, it would probably surprise your folks if you phoned to speak to your mom and offer to bring things that she might need.

Your Mother will be in my prayers and thoughts. I am sorry to read this! My brother who is a JW, has to take dialysis three times a week, and its quite a drawn out, exhausting procedure for people to go through. I hope she is alright. Please keep us updated.

I send her my best wishes as hospitals are not fun to be in at all. Would a unexpected visit from you cause any problems, I cant see why it should. Your their son and you should be able to visit your mother if shes in the hospital. I think its ridiculous that they would apply shunning tactics to such a case. Hopefully she pulls through ok.
