    Maybe its a sign that this is the time of the end and that the door of salvation is soon to be shut.... Expect an increase in membership on Simon's site!

    ~~~You almost have to feel bad for the guy conducting. Looking and looking for someone to raise their hand. Head moving back and forth, sweat dripping!!!!!! Then the final question, "anyone?"
    ~~~but the poor souls who live in abject poverty and have no such facilities at hand, don't question the doctrines......so much for "making sure of all things" eh?

    One of our WT study conductors, after a lengthy silence when asking a question, used to say---one hand will DO please! It was so funny!

    Yeah, Mary, the odds are stacked against them from the get-go! What we need is to send an anti-WTS brigade to these people!

    Actually, someone did make the comment that perhaps the reason only the third world countries are experiencing growth is because "they are simple people" and they "don't question things as much as those that live where knowledge is abundant".

    I'm cracking up!! Lol!! So true.

    Did the elder respond to that comment?

    Did the elder respond to that comment?

    He did indeed. He said "Okay, let's move on to paragraph 18. Can we have that read?"

    What the hell would it take for them to get discouraged? Maybe a 30% decrease overall??

    I would find that very encouraging.

    BWAHAHAHAHAHA! What in the hell was that commenter thinking?? I heard a comment like that from somebody before I left too - I burst out laughing my ass off right there in the Kingdom Hall! That is the most braindead shit I have ever heard.

    A comment about "percentage of increase". If a country had three publishers at the beginning of the year, and has four at the end of the year, that's an increase of 25%. So, the country of Insignifinita had a 25% increase, while the US, England, et al, had 0%. See how Jehovah blesses the work in some lands? Shouldn't that inspire us to do more? Hooo eeeey!

    I remember even two or three years ago when I used to go there was still like a one or two percent increase in the U.S. I love the fact that the organization is finally starting to die the slow death it deserves. From what I understand through hearsay, the congregation I used to go to is drying up faster than the Euphrates river during a Persian raid. I hear they now are experiencing a significant lack of funds. All I have to say is too bad, soo sad. In the word of P-Diddy "more money more problems". Hah, they could only wish.

    One would think that this comment shows that this individual KNOWS it's a lot of BS but is very loyal anyway. Whose faith is stronger? The 3rd worldling who believes it all because he has no access to real information, or the guy at the hall who admits that abundant knowledge leads to attrition and yet stays and goes through the motions anyway? Downright scary.
