Do kingdom halls tend to have few windows? If so why?

Its funny, when I thought about it -- the two main halls that I went to in my lifetime as a dub had windows. The second hall had nice windows where you could actually watch the leaves blow in the wind. One time we watched the neighbor to the hall whack a beehive off his house with a long broom type thing during the WT study. Much more entertaining than the meetings.
The other day I was driving with my friend (who was a dub at one time) and I told her that most KHs don't have windows and she was like "really". Then we passed a hall that had lots of windows.
Maybe these were all "old school" halls? I don't know.
