Skimmer: good question. WTs writers use the Bible to decipher the Bible. In other words, they compare different parts of the Bible to understand others. They did this with the book of Revelation comparing with Daniel and Ezequiel.

They do not have dreams or anything like that. The holy spirit is not involved in every word published. They are guided with holy spirit in the sence that they apply what the Bible says, which was written with the guidance of holy spirit.

Nicolaou: Why is he a dipstick? Isn't he allowed to post his comments? To differ from your views?

If you have ever looked in to the bible you will see that the father of the lie is Satan the Devil, so if you tell lies you are his sons.
You are just making him happier and happier!

Then what do you say to the fact that the WBTS has published documented lies, misquotes and misrepresentations in its publications? These can be seen by a simple examination of the appropriate publications and sources.

You said that the WTBTS has made a "couple of changes." How do you define "a couple". Off the top of my head, here are several.

1. The Great Pyrmid.
2. Inoculations
3. Organ Transplants
4. Blood Fractions
5. Armageddon predictions (1914,1918, 1925, and 1975)
6. The Higher Powers in Romans.
7. Alternate military service.
8. Having children
9. The King of the North and South.
10. The purpose of Beth Sarim.

This is just a partial list, as others can attest. Now, don't give me the old saw about the light getting brighter. On some doctrines, they have changed several times. For example the interpretion of the Higher Powers has changed at least four times.

I could also mention the changes on higher education and voting, but they don't count, because these have changed in print, but not in actual practice.

I would suggest that you read any volume of Studies in the Scriptures by Charles Taze Russell. You will not recognize your own religion.

To GodRules: Why do you think that the bible needs deciphering? If it is the case that the bible is enciphered, why do you believe that the WTBTS is the only group capable of deciphering it?

When did my mom start posting here? The only part she left out was... we are here to get our "ears tickled" I prefer sensitive kisses behind the ears though

I am sure that Logicalthinker is long gone, as Nic said spreading his "truth" to other sites that are run by satan.

I real honestly in my heart believe that they think they are right. Poor guy/gal feels like we are all lost. To bad their eyes have been blinded to the good people here and real logical thinking.

I wonder though, how does this JW, as many typical JWs, think that "helping" us will come from that kind of message and replies given in the condescending and holier-than-thou tone?

I ask them or any other JWs "lurking", is this kind of attempt to "help" us see the error of our ways, effective, productive, going to save our lives? Does that "tone of voice" appeal to any here that are searching for the truth about the "truth".

Instead of the "wham, bam, thankyou m'am" type posts that insult us, why don't you/they stay and try to "reason from the scriptures" with us? There are some very valid points and questions asked here but where are his/her/your answers?

As someone said, not all of us here are df'd, nor left the org to become wild and depraved. We left because of seeing things that didn't make sense with what was being preached. We had questions they couldn't or wouldn't answer, or we couldn't ask because it would label us as a troublemaker and therefore we'd be df'd.

Anyone with any sense of real logic, can stay here and read for a while, and can see for themselves there are too many things wrong with the org that shout out the truth.... that the WTS cannot be directed by God and have so many things wrong. The excuse that "they're just imperfect men" just doesn't explain the mountains and volumes of proof of just how much they have gotten wrong in the last 100+ years.

The good that they have done does NOT outweigh all the bad, the injustice, the inconsistences, the destruction of families and lives lost.

A God of love could not have allowed that to continue in an organization bearing his name, so how can this be the one and only true religion

If anymore "logicalthinkers" are out there just watching, please join us to answer our questions, not from your WT pubs but from your own deductive logic.

I left because I've "Had Enough". Convince me, and the other sincere "defectors" that we're wrong after you have read some of the posts going back several days and have visited the links below to "silentlambs" site and the others that have a wealth of provable material.

I've got to look into Catholicism. There must be something to it, after all. Otherwise, why would the JWs tear it apart verbally year after year?
