My husband was talking at the table with his young adult daughter last night. For those of you that don't know, he is a long time Witness, and his children are of course Witnesses also. I am not and never have been. We were married when he was df'd, and I knew all about him being a Witness and wanting to return. I have never squelched him wanting to attend/be re-instated and have supported him, but always make it clear that I disagree and believe what I believe.
So they were discussing a young friend of hers, and he has a girlfriend. A WORLDLY girlfriend! Husband's reaction was him throwing his head back in exasperation when hearing this about her friend. Perhaps it is because he is not of the proper age to date (16 maybe?), but the worldly reference I'm sure made him react. This young friend of hers is an "unbaptised publisher".........yet another label................
What then, am I??? I had a hard time keeping it together and not jumping in to the conversation with...................."I am worldly, am I not?" Can't they see how insulting this is to ME? (or anyone outside the organization) Yes I know the answer to this, just a rant, remember.
I will have to bring this up to him because it is really bothering me, but dread the reaction and hours of discussion it is going to bring. It seems entirely hypocrytical......................another thing I can't get my mind around.......
end of rant-
WW signing off..........
