i didn't know the society told anything about long hair or not...
personnaly, i do have long hair, but not so long!!!
Could a sister have hair this long?

I am sick of this hair issue with the borg.
For men: No long hair, or hair below the lip. (Long hair according to them made you look like a woman)
For women: Long hair is ok. ( But in all fairness, I have seen some hairstyles that were shorter than men, and some even had facial hair)
That's all I am gonna say about it.

one of the sexiest 40+ women I've ever encountered was a sister who looked very classy...had dark hair just starting to get touches of grey in it. Her hair was long, at least down to her waist. I remember having the hots for her as a teen...she was fantasy fuel for years.
The hair thing is just about control. I about gave the elders a stroke as a teen when (at my mom's suggestion) I began to get a perm put in my hair to give it some body because mine is straight as a board. When I got married, my wife began urging on me the hairstyle that she thought best suited me...just the standard kind of fundy-cut. I could never keep it looking good because of the aforementioned straight hair problem. As I began to express my own independence....I started cutting my hair shorter and shorter....so that now...for probably the last 10 years or so, I've had a millitary style flat-top...which the elders hated too. As soon as I left...the first thing I did to really visibly express my independence was to grow a full beard.
People who get hung up on these things have too much time on their hands. If I want my hair long or short...whatever...am I not the one who has to look at it in the mirror everyday? Who gives a rat's a$$ what anyone else thinks?

I had long hair until I was 11, and my mom finally relented and let me cut it. It does not feel good when you accidently sit on your hair, and it gives you whiplash!
That really is looong hair. My neck got tight just reading that!

Almost as bad as whiplash is when your hair is so long it falls behind you when you are on the loo, if you forget to swing it over you shoulder and it gets splashed!
The shortest mine has ever been is tit-length and the longest just below my bum. At the moment it is waist length and very much in need of a trim. I always get people asking about how long it takes to wash it - and my answer has always been "probably the same as it does for you". It takes me 5 minutes to wash my hair - drying is another matter, but I usually just let it drip dry, unless I'm going straight out and intending to wear a white t-shirt.
