There is so much useless speculation in that article as presented here that I am glad I won't be there for it. If this qualifies as "food at the proper time" then the poor beggars who will be there are in the middle of a "spiritual famine."

That's the point! The article is PURE SPECULATION!!!! Dat's a bad thing2 do in Jehovah's eyes!

"...an Uzzah moment..."----now there's a phrase that deserves to be immortalized!

    Great commentary, as always, Blondie

Your commentary is, as always, right on Blondie.

This article has irritated me also, so if you don't mind me 'piping up' some.

jehovah always does what IS right

"Jehovah is righteous in all his ways."-Psalm 145:17. (NWT)

Everything GOD does is right--the trademark on all his works is love.?Psalm 145:17 (The Message Bible)

Yes, Jehovah always does what is right...That does not mean however He has no options to choose from that also qualify as being righteous and just. It seems to be a question of degree. IE: The flood of Noah's day. Afterward God lamented that He would never destroy every living thing again because of the wickedness of mankind AND placed a Rainbow in the cloud as a reminder to Himself not to do it. So He could have chosen not to flood the earth at all and still handle the situation 'righteously and justly.' Would have any Angel in heaven or Noah himself been wrong in questioning Jehovah about what He was about to do? Was Abraham wrong when he questioned God at length about destroying Sodom and Gomorah? Are our children wrong to question us as their parents when they don't agree or are concerned or don't understand our decisions? Are we, both Angels and Humans, not His children??

Yet, seeing his beloved Son suffer and die on a torture stake must have caused Jehovah the greatest possible pain. What does this tell us about God?

That He has not exempted Himself from being tested to the limit. No other option would test God as much as would experiancing the loss and witnessing the torturous death of His Son.

So while humans are made in God's image and are "endowed with attributes like those of God", they cannot understand what is just and right because humans are imperfect.

Our imperfection (as the WTS pointed out in the past) has to do with our ability to adhere to God's laws flawlessly. It is our relitive position to our Creator not our imperfection that clouds our understanding at times. We're like small children to Him and what small child can understand or discern the same way their parents can?

19 We need to remember that it is impossi-ble for Jehovah to act unjustly. (Job 34:10) For him to do so would be unloving, and we know from our study of the Bible as a whole that "God is love." (1 John 4:8)

In addition, the Scriptures tell us that "righteousness and judgment are the established place of [God's] throne." (Psalm 89:14) How, then, could Jehovah ever act unjustly? If he were to do so, he would be undermining the very foundation of his sovereignty.

    Correct, and life itself.

    .....................................................................

I love these the best Blondie,

Whatever the case, we can be sure that Jehovah did what was right. He likely saw something in Uzzah's heart that caused Him to render swift judgment.-Proverbs 21:2.

Now who is judging motives and actions without all the facts?

Translation: Reformers of the WTS = Uzzah

Now hasn't this been the tune the WTS has been singing lately; don't worry if you don't understand what they are saying (because you are not as smart as they are). Just trust them to always do what is right.

The WTS/FDS ALWAYS DOES WHAT IS RIGHT AND WHEN IT DOESN'T PLEASE REFER TO UZZAH IN YOUR BIBLE.

    Love, Blondie

How's the logic in paragraph 22?

    1. Jehovah's The FDS's incomparable wisdom is seen in that his Word WTS instruction at times omits certain details.2. Jehovah The elder body thereby gives us an opportunity to show that we trust Him them.
    3. From what we have considered, is it not clear that we have sound reasons to accept Jehovah's the FDS's judgements?4. Yes, when we study God's Word the FDS's instructions in our various publications with a sincere heart and an open mind, we learn more than enough about Jehovah the WTS to be convinced that5. he always does what is just and right.
    6. Hence, if some Bible account WT action raises questions to which we cannot find immediate explicit answers, let us have full confidence that Jehovah WTS did what was right.

Thanks Blondie, that was excellent. This is one of those studys that I when an R and F would have walked away having tons of doubts about.

Yet, seeing his beloved Son suffer and die on a torture stake must have caused Jehovah the greatest possible pain. What does this tell us about God?

What is this crap ? The bible says nothing of jehovah being in pain from the episode . In fact it shows he was thrilled that his son was that faithful . God was smiling on him and such . Why even at one point God forsakes jesus just so he can see how faithful he was and so he could die as a man . The only one feeling pain that day was jesus .

You are so right blondie ; This is nothing but conjecture .

Yah so now the WTBTS is back to being the Ark of the covenant . All opposers are Uzzah . Gee after last weeks article about labeling others they come right out with some labels don't they ? OH WTBTS you are above reproach yet again . Where the hell is the humility in any of this ?

If we remember the story about Lot , God was going to kill all in the region because a righteous man had complained , it never says Lot was the righteous man but I guess that's what the apostles said later on . Somehow abraham was able to convince God that he need not destroy Lot , I don't think you would need to convince God if you were already the righteous guy . Any how God winds up destroying Lots wife for looking back on the death and destruction. Man turns her into a pillar of salt .

Yes, but only because his righteous god-fearing daughters got him drunk. Course it must have been some special god-approved wine if he could get it up twice, AND impregnate TWO daughters while so drunk he didn't know what he was doing...

Oh, okay. Thanks Odrade. Been a long time since I thought about it, but it just popped in my head reading about Lot.

Blondie, you have evidently (dubtalk) acheived a pinnacle in your career as the ultimate WT study article reviewer.

If this qualifies as "food at the proper time" then the poor beggars who will be there are in the middle of a "spiritual famine."

Shouldn't we feel so sad for all the 'brothers' and 'sisters' who drink this poison tomorrow morning. No doubt (dubtalk) they will connect Uzzah with our apostate views (it's so tragic when the apostates raise their loathesome heads in the congregation) and their faith in Joe Hoba the FDS will be bolstered to the point of no return.
