Yeah I know he was an a$$ but people like that can do a lot of damage to witlesses because they see themselves reflected back sometimes it helps them say "Wait I sound just like that sometimes" I agree that he shouldnt' be allowed to run rampant but if brownhole can run around acting foolish then why not him?

    Scooby,

No human can really know what happens after death. The only thing I'm 100% sure of is that JWs are dead wrong with their notions of "qualifying" for a resurrection depending on ........... Do you believe in God as a God of justice?

"the wages of sin is death" (Rom 6:23) So all the "worldly sinners" get a fresh start on a new earth having paid for their sins. How will the witnesses who survive Armageddon pay for their sins? Just trying to show you one of 1,000 proofs that JWs are so so wrong.

I was really moved by your story. It is sometimes sad when you see your parents crying, especially if they have given so much of their lives to the Organization. It sounds like she's a mighty fine mom. It shows your proud of your mom, and grans. God is not one to forget the good deeds one does in their lives. He has a reward for her I am sure.

Even if there is no New System of things like the witnesses teach, I am certain your mom is a fine person to recieve eternal blessings in heaven.

Nothing can convince me that the JW are the only ones who will be blessed by God for their good lives and deeds they've practised.

I can tell you this, that my dear grandma was no Jehovah's witnesses but she was one marvelous Christian and human being and I can't phathom for one minute that God will forget her. She is in heaven now, I am sure of it and we have no real reasons to feel that the ones we love aren't in heaven. Or perhaps something more then we can comprehend. The Universe is so vast and is infinte. We can not even concieve the vastness of God. There are universes greater then ours and who are we to say that something greater doesn't exist.

Bravo to you and your mom. Blessing during this holy day.

    Love Orangefatcat

The Bible makes it clear that more than 144,000 go to heaven. It says that all martyrs go to heaven, and the book of Acts makes it clear there were many tens of thousands in heaven by 70CE. There were about 250,000 very early Christian martyrs. There were certainly more than 144,000 qualified, even before the Book of Revelation was written in about 93CE.

Acts 21:20 NWT (large reference edition) says "thousands" in the text but the footnorte reads: Lit., "myriads: tens of thousands".

Just adding together those in the Book of Acts brings us to more than 100,000. Perhaps we desperately need more "new light" to correct this erroneous teaching.

I'm finding myself moving more and more towards Mr. Sinatra's quote:

"You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough."

The only part of it I have left to figure out is the definition of "right" for me.

Don't worry about letting everyone else down...worry about letting you down, you have to live with it longer.
