The "least worst" is generally the best option you are going to get. I still don't think Bush and his cronies qualify - they seem to be the worst !
Corruption in Iraq ... why the cover-up ?

I can't decide whether Bush is an instigator or just a puppet of the corrupt corporations. Certainly, if I was going to have a puppet president he would have all the required (lack of) skills.
Bush ain't smart enough to instigate anything so devious. He's being played. Most presidents get played, some are better at deflecting the attention than others.
What works for the Bush admin is that they wrapped themselves up in the flag and waved a bible at the same time which got all the conservatives to back him up cause god knows you don't want liberals running things.

So let me get this straight and make sure I understand your latest rant.
1) Custer Battles ripped of the U.S. Government.
2) The U.S. government found out and banned them from doing more government work.
3) The two whistle blowers are now suing Custer Battles but their attorney is bitching because the U.S. government isn't helping them with the case.
So from this you are making your old argument about Bush's war making billions for for his friends.
Wow, companies ripping off taxpayers, yup, gotta be Bush's fault again. Personally, I find it amazing that this company was banned from working on government jobs in Iraq. You'd think Bush would give someone a call and green-light them back in.
Private companies ripping off taxpayers, wow, I bet that never happens outside the U.S.
Hmmm...nothing like this could ever happen in the U.K....oh, wait a minute, Brits are so concerned about peace in the Sudan. I'm sure it's because of their love for the people of Sudan and has nothing to do with mineral rights in that country. Funny how you Brits are now dealing with whatever group controls the oil fields in Sudan, just to get your grubby little hands that oil. And youre critical of Bush? I remember reading some where about the straw in my eye and a rafter in yours.....

RoyBatty, can you not read? The US Government is actively covering up the corruption and allowing it to happen - almost encouraging it !

That's true, and at least the BE admitted that they were empire building, as it was a respectful, European thing to do at the time. People point out that corruption is inherent to government. I don't necessarily think so. It depends on how idealistic one's country is. But war always carries with it a certain amount of profiteering. That's why the Canadian military was so ill-equipped in WWI. Some one profitted off of making shotty rifles for the Canadians that didn't work half the time. Once they got into the trenches, the Canadians would just start taking rifles off of the dead English soldiers with their Lee-Enfields (yeah, we even learned the gun types in Canadian history, lol).

My reading is fine. Perhaps it's that way you're reading it and the conclusions you seem to always draw. You start out with a conclusion and then search the web for evidence to support it. If there truly was a this huge cover-up, why was the company banned BY THE MILITARY from doing more work in Iraq? Your beef is that the U.S. government isn't suing them and an accusation about some information not being passed along to the U.N.? Yikes! What is this world coming to? The U.N. is probably pissed because they missed out on another scam they can profit from. Just curious. Does the blood money that the U.K. is getting from Sudan bother you? Does the fact that your government is calling for peace talks there for the sole purpose of profiting from those people upsetting to you? Does it bother you that British business are making deals with whoever is in charge, even rebel groups who are killing innocent civilians, so that they gain access to the rich oil fields of Sudan. Have you written any letters in protest? Kind of ironic how your unsupported accusations about Bush & Co. and their "private was to control Iraq's oil supplies" are actually being done by your political and business leader.
