    roybatty,

    1) Custer Battles ripped of the U.S. Government.

    2) The U.S. government found out and banned them from doing more government work.

    3) The two whistle blowers are now suing Custer Battles but their attorney is bitching because the U.S. government isn't helping them with the case.

So from this you are making your old argument about Bush's war making billions for for his friends.

Wow, companies ripping off taxpayers, yup, gotta be Bush's fault again. Personally, I find it amazing that this company was banned from working on government jobs in Iraq. You'd think Bush would give someone a call and green-light them back in.

Private companies ripping off taxpayers, wow, I bet that never happens outside the U.S.

Hmmm...nothing like this could ever happen in the U.K....oh, wait a minute, Brits are so concerned about peace in the Sudan. I'm sure it's because of their love for the people of Sudan and has nothing to do with mineral rights in that country. Funny how you Brits are now dealing with whatever group controls the oil fields in Sudan, just to get your grubby little hands that oil. And youre critical of Bush? I remember reading some where about the straw in my eye and a rafter in yours.....

Now THAT is what I call a rant.

Are you denying that a problem exists here?

No, not at all. I'm just asking Simon "is that the best you can find"? From his post it's being made to seem that Bush picks up the phone and tells his people to back off. I don't get this impression from the article. Why not point out that two key U.S. military people banned this company from doing any more business in Iraq? Why always one side of the argument?

I also find it ironic that many people (esp. many from European countries) accuse Bush and the U.S. of invading Iraq for it's oil, while at the same time the U.K., France, Germany and China are exploiting the situation in Sudan in order to gain access to it's oil fields. I must have missed Simon's rant about that. It must be mixed in with his posts about Bush being responsible for cancer and the recent earthquake in Indonesia.

The administration has harshly criticized the United Nations over hundreds of millions stolen from the Oil-for-Food Program under Saddam. But the successor to Oil-for-Food created under the occupation, called the Development Fund for Iraq, could involve billions of potentially misused dollars.

The oil-for-food scandal is actually a $67 BILLION dollar fraud, not "hundreds of millions."
