John Barry's music.
Who? Chris -- his voice still makes me melt when he calls me. What? Walnut Whips. Simon, by bringing those to Florida a couple of years ago you started an ADDICTION -- those things are FANTASTIC!!! Fortunately, there's a British Food Store in a funky little part of Dallas that sells them, so when the urge hits I go there.
Mmmmm, Walnut Whips!
Nina
Chris Isaac and Johnny Depp! Whoo Ha! and Bob Marley knows how to put you in a peaceful place.
The song that makes me melt is- Don't Dream it's Over by Crowded House http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/soldonsong/songlibrary/dontdreamitsover.shtml
For a ladies voice, that I think is fantastic, is Stevie Nicks, Natalie Merchant, and Tracy Chapman.
Simon- if you like Norah Jones then try Jolie Holland.
I am a pretty sensitive person to music and voice...So here it goes:
Eric Clapton-Example "Wonderful Tonight"
Joss Stone-Example, "I'm falling in Love With You."
Carlos Santana-Since he cannot sing- His voice is the guitar...Have you ever sat back in the dark closed your eyes and listen to "Europa?" Can there be anything more amazing?
Susane Tadeski- (Spelling?- Example is "Angel From Montgomery."
Bettie Wright- First Time song...don't know the name, but I know you all have to know the song!!
Who sang Silent Lucidity? Geoff Tate I think.
Mellissa Etheridge--Example is "Cannot hardly name just one...and the one I want to name, well I don't know the official name but it reads something like this"Theres no one to hear..You might as well scream."
And of course the man I kiss on...because just the sound of his breathing gives me goosebumps and makes me swoon..really. (No Laughing)
Vincent Price......
ever since I saw "House Of Wax"
mac
OMG How could I forget Sara McGlauclen-
Dido-White Flag and Thank you
and Norah Jones. eSpecially--Turn Me On
Annie Lennox---She is amazing
*****But lately I have been putting the mp3 on "Brothers In Arms"********I cannot place the man who sings its name right now...but I an stuck on it. His voice....Well all should hunt it down and listen to it right now. Light a candle and close your eyes.
Roberta Flack-
AND MARIO LANZA-O Sole Mio
Wow, some real greats have already been mentioned. Since I love just about every type of music out there, I agree with every bit of it. A few that I haven't seen yet...
Lucinda Williams - I've done some serious melting to that.
Roy Orbison - just grabs the heartstrings.
Jonny Lang - Can't believe that voice came out of that kid.
Sparkplug,
Mark Knopfler lead singer from Dire Straits
