    Just a reminder about the World Talk Radio hour interview this Wednesday. The radio station says that people can call in across Canada and the US! For Canadians, she said, "The protocal for the show is that you call in on our toll-free line (from Canada it's 001-858-268-3068) about 5 minutes before show time, which is 2:00 Pacific time." http://www.worldtalkradio.com/archive.asp?aid=3579 Thanks!

    Donald,

    I wish you well on Wednesday.

    In case I cannot get through on the phone lines would you please try to address a question I'd like the audience to ponder:

    "Why is the WTBTS staying in denial of the epidemic of such abuse and most importantly, why are they not taking responsibility for any of it like the Catholic church has?" "How are they different from the Catholic church abuse epidemic?"

    I'm hopeful you will do your best to give these questions merit on the show in order that the public will then question EACH jw that approaches them. Whether at their door or on the street, the public will be informed and ready to question everything.

    Thank you.

    skally, thanks for your note...the host has already asked me for some sample ?'s..here's what I gave her below. By the way, I do NOT believe the Catholic Church has done squat more than JWs. Just because they were sued by a ton of victims AND HAD TO ACKNOWLEDGE SOMETHING. IE. payouts etc. is not in my opinion a proactive response to the rape of children. I don't see any religions winning the SAVE THE VICTIMS award just yet! Question: In many ways Father's Touch is quite timely, with a wide range of sexual abuse cases and coverups coming to light in the Catholic church, around the world. You mention in your book, "what should have been labelled a crime is instead called 'a sin'" The Church Leaders in your book are, to some extent culpable in your abuse. Do you feel that there is something inherent in organised religions, particular fundamental ones, that encourages this kind of abuse? Question: All through your book, you maintain your faith in God, even when the elders of your religion dismissed your family?s cries for help. What would you say to your Readers, when their elders fail them?

    Perhaps you are right. I only used the CC as an example next to WTBTS because that Catholic churchs abuse is in the news daily. And as we know, there are many reports of jw abuse that never gets reported and/ or published.

    My hopes as I stated above are to make the public become aware of the epidemic of abuse that happens to WT children.

    Again, I wish you well.

    skally, thanks again for the well wishes... I think the epidemic is universal...as I've said before, monsters use religion. I can't believe how many people have expressed sympathy to my molester since the trial - in sheer numbers, the non Witnesses lead that parade of shame Regardless, my focus is educating people who want to be informed. Hopefully they'll be listening tomorrow! Wednesday, April 27 2:00 p.m. (PST) Darkness to Light: Breaking the Conspiracy of Silence http://www.worldtalkradio.com/show.asp?sid=189 To talk with our guest, call our toll-free number: 888-514-2100

    Awesome. And my focus is on the public NEEDING to know about the lives of WTBTS children. My opininon is that there needs to be more Focus on these childrens silent cries and secret lives. I appreciate your reply and the jest of it.

    Respectfully, I'm aware of the universal dynamics of this topic. And I understand what you are referring. Yet, I hear it all the time. What I WANT to hear is that somebody that gets a chance, such as yourself, to be broadcast on a radio program, in which you are able to reach thousands of public people, will talk ONLY about THESE KIDS. At least put in a five minute window and plug silentlamb.org.

    Break a leg tomorrow donald!! {{ hugs }}

    Sincerely, sKally

    Hi Skally..thanks for the well wishes... I've been talking about sexual abuse publicly since '81 - since the preliminary trial on our case...I've written numerous articles, been interviewed countless times...written a book that talks about Witnessville from beginning to end. I've beat that subject to death. From my experience, I don't hear people talk about the universality of the problem of sexual abuse ENOUGH! I've had more than 1000 victims disclose their abuse to me in the last two decades...the percentage that were Jehovah's Witness children is less than 5 %. I talk from my experience - I don't represent anyone's voice but my own and my family with their permission. The fact that I was a Jehovah's Witness and I'm being interviewed speaks volumes alone! I have no doubt (based on the sample questions I gave you earlier) that my experience as a JW will come up. I've seen the Dateline, Fifth Estate and Panaorma shows - there have been public representations of the Jehovah's Witness factor on Prime Time Television. Anytime I speak in a public forum on abuse, I speak for the voice of "these kids" ...Hopefully, I can in a small way show how it is possible for victims to find their own voice. Thanks for wishing me luck!
