From the site:
Walter Martin - never a jw - but an expert in major cults - he is no longer living. Since he was never a jw, technically he is not an apostate, but he would be considered a major opposer of the WT.
Bill Cetnar - yes he would be considered an apostate since he was a baptized jw at one time.
Keith and Lorri MacGregor are former JW's and therefore considered apostates by the WT.
So to answer you question: Yes, this site would be considered an "Apostate site"

This one is for JW's only. Anyone can read the threads but only JW's are allowed to post.
http://www.beliefnet.com/boards/discussion_list.asp?boardID=2437
This is for anyone who wants to learn about the JW's or has sincere questions. Debating isn't allowed here.

And this one is for debating with JW's. It's mostly ex-JW and Born Agains posting here but a few brainwashed Witnesses will respond.

I am waiting to get an okay to the MSN board. I will check the beliefnet site now. Thanks.
Greetings:
Thought you might enjoy this tiny snippet from my story, Lazarus (still in rough draft, some of the formatting may be messed up as I am copying/pasting in):
" Good. This key here is your ENTER key which you hit to make it go, this key is BACKSPACE to make it go back, DELETE, and so on. You will figure them all out in no time. Every station here is connected to the TheoNET. The TheoNET is like an electric library except without any books and the information contained in it is bigger than anything you could possibly imagine. Everything that you could want to know can be found on the TheoNET. Do you understand so far? "
" Yes, I think so, " replied Lazarus
" Very good, "
" Can I ask you a question? "
" Certainly, " she said.
" Why is it called the TheoNET? "
" Well that's a good question. I know the answer but let's get you some practice, " she said. " Now when you are doing your research you can either type just words or terms that you are looking for or if you like you can just type your whole question and it will figure out what you are looking for. So why don't you type your question. "
" Ok. " Lazarus typed one letter at a time the words " Why are you called TheoNET? " which made Clarissa giggle. When he hit the enter key a list of possibilities came up instantly.
" Good, " Clarissa said. " Now it will give you back a list of what it thinks that you want sorted by the most relevant and sometimes by the most popular or most requested information. Now if you take your finger, " she took his hand and opened his index finger " and place it in this circle of light beside the keyboard and just move it around like this, " she moved his hand and index finger and showed him how the motion dragged the cursor around the screen.
" Good, now try moving it to the fourth item on the list and when you get it there just tap your finger on the desk once. Good. Now do you see how that action highlighted the item? Now tap your finger twice. "
Lazarus did so and the screen changed immediately, text, photos and other artifacts appeared on the screen. Some of the text was highlighted which Lazarus learned meant that he could select those points to go deeper into whatever was highlighted. Clarissa leaned over close to Lazarus again and said aloud, " Begin. "
The text on the screen began to scroll slowly while a woman's voice read the text:
The TheoNET or Theocracy Network began as a virtual private sub-network of the global Internet during the early 21 st Century Pre-GT. It originally served to connect every Branch Location and Kingdom Hall and other official buildings of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah?s Witnesses worldwide with the headquarters located at Brooklyn
During the GT and immediately following Armageddon, the TheoNET proved to be invaluable as a communications tool among the brotherhood during that time of trial and it was extremely useful in helping the friends to access the situation and to organize response and planning. It?s dynamic rerouting capabilities made it possible to circumvent errors in the network that were caused during the worldwide destruction however during the resulting chaos that ensued with the destruction of the central server at Brooklyn Bethel a number of unapproved irregularities were introduced into the core programming by a few overreaching independents. Most of these flaws have been corrected and the new central server located in Bethel has been functioning perfectly since 64 PA.
" Pause, " Clarissa said leaning over. The text stopped scrolling and the voice stopped. ?Resume,? she said and leaned out of the sound field. The text and voice started again.
" Now you try it, " she said to Lazarus.

I know people who still think that *any* web site is not authorised by the WTS. I guess they did too good a job warning about all those devious apostates trying to con the unwary ... they don't even trust the official WTS sites !
Simon:
...they don't even trust the official WTS sites !
I guess the WTS just see it as cheap advertising, to entice nonJWs in.
Once they are "in" the demonizing of the Internet begins...
Shawn, if you are trying to break in to a JW-only site, don't click directly from here to there. Some of these places monitor where you have been, and if you have been to a known XJW site, they won't welcome you in to the club. I don't think you could "fake it" as a witness. There are too many code words and phrases that instantly mark the genuine article.
I think it is better to be yourself, post who you are at an open site like this, and let the JW lurkers who are sitting on the fence read, read, read.
Here is my favorite JW home page:

Here's another one:

Here's some more, but don't expect there to be many places to leave your comments. Information transfer is one-way in JW-land.
Loved the excerpt of your story. Sounds pretty interesting. As for JW only wites. I give up. Nothing is even really said on them. I looked in on a few and it seemed to further confirm the idea that they really don't think. It was sad. Oh well, one day I hope they accidently search ggogle and stumble upon the wealth of information that is out there about their own society. God willing.
I was wondering if the JWs concider this site:
http://www.jwinfoline.com/
an apostate one? I know that they are discuraged to question theif beliefs and in a lot of cases told not to
Why not call WTBTS and ASK THEM DIRECTLY; stating your very concerns you've mentioned above? I'm serious.
