will I have all kinds of pop ups
I'm not sure because we have a pop-up blocker, but I'm sure they'll give out your e-mail address to their advertisers.
I take care of that by having, one e-mail account that's for friends, another for business, and one for junk e-mails. So anytime I don't want my inbox to be boggled down with junk I just give them the junk address. Keeps the riffraff out.

Since I was in high school I've consistently scored in the 140s on IQ tests.
What does this mean?
That I'm REALLY good at taking IQ tests.
I'd trade a genius IQ for a photographic memory any day!! Any takers??

140... THIS TEST IS OBVIOUSLY FLAWED...
There's no way I spent 20 years in the bOrg and came out a genius...
Oh wait, I did read the AWAKE for 20+ years.... I must've earned the equivelant of a Masters Degree or PhD or something.

"nerd" -- very funny, Krystal ! I'm more of a geek than a nerd, I think.
I always thought I sucked @ math now it's one of my strong points?...plus I took this same test a few months ago and only got 129, now I'm 140 ?!? Maybe it has something to do w/ the fact that I just turned 40...uh huh...

these tests have limited validity in that they cannot test imagination, creativity or the intelligence required for uncanny coordination - they give much weight to pattern recognition and some easy points for a well-practiced vocabulary - hmm, what can this mean?
that i got a shitty score? HEY! in some parts of the world 22 is good! -

The trouble with IQ tests is that there are so many of them - and they all seem to score differently. In some tests a score of 125 is very high, in other tests you need to score 148+ to achieve the top 2%. An IQ score within the top 2% of the population is the entry requirement for mensa. You complete a home IQ test which you pay them to score (£10 in the uk) then you attend a supervised IQ test which lasts about an hour.
What is good about mensa is that they have "special interest groups" (shortened to SIGs) and members can participate in various activities and discussions relating to things they're interested in. For me, that is Psychology SIG, Paranormal Phenomena SIG, Creative Writers SIG and Pagan SIG. Apart from the special interest groups, there are informal meetings (usually in pubs) to attend. I don't enjoy the pub meetings because usually usually everyone is older (nothing against them but when everyone is at least 25 years older than you it gets you down).
I don't like mensans who brag, they're the worst type. I joined because I'd left JWs and I wanted to meet people, plus the SIGs sounded good. I accept that IQ tests really only prove how good you are at answering certain types of questions and that intelligence can hardly even be defined. IMHO Mensa need to refine their testing procedure, but of course, if they did that they wouldn't have as many members!
