WTS wealth/assets how to be shared?

Imagine a situation were the JW org is burst assunder with all the rank and file members leaving and then entering into a legal dispute with the WTS over the assets issue: they want to claim most of it because they are the ones that really made it with their unpaid work and conributions in money or property. They want to have the WTS and all its daughter corporations.

On the other hand the WTS the shareholders, the directors, will claim that the assets legally belong to them, they can boast of a legally protected ownership over them, they are registered in their name and they should keep everything.

What do you imagine will happen in such a legal dispute? What sorts of arguments will be produced and will the dubs realise how silly it was to work their arses off to create wealth for a business where they had no legal status and rights?

The "no legal status" part is probably what would hang them. Even if 5.9999 million dubs woke up tomorrow and DA'd, what legal right would they have to demand anything from the corporations? It was all donations, after all, and many of them probably wrote it off of their taxes as such. Unless there's legal fraud going on -- your contributions being used to buy expensive paintings to hang in the director's personal homes, or some such -- there's probably no basis for a suit.

Then again, I wonder if a thorough examination of all assets and their use would reveal anything untoward? Surely not!

If it ever happened, the dissolution of the WTS would probably be conducted the way any other nonprofit organization would be dissolved.

    Ending a Nonprofit Corporation
Nonprofits are not actually owned by anyone and therefore cannot be sold. If the directors of a nonprofit corporation decide to dissolve it, they must pay off all debts and obligations of the nonprofit and distribute all of its assets to another tax-exempt nonprofit corporation.

    hi blondie

this hyperthetical corp. would no doubt be a further off shoot from wts, i would guess.

So it looks like the dubs are pretty much screwed up on this they never looked at the small print at the end of the contract before putting their backs under in order to raise a multi billion dollar enterprise, they labour someone else reaps the rewards. They should give it a try but the legal enviroment seems to be adverse to their case. Perhaps with a good attorney(lawyer)....
Perhaps some litigation and compensations for death of children/spouses due to obeying the blood transfusion ban rule of the WTS?

BTW Blondie, the new avatar with a young Debby Harry is good I was wondering before why you had an older Debby (in your previous avatar). If i'm not mistaken she was voted in the top ten most beautiful American women in the 1970's.

It would be nice to see that happen but doubtfully will in our lifetime. I do think someone (corp. officer) would have a great wealthy life if it ever does.

I have a strange feeling that things at brooklyn bethel are getting ready to blow up soon.

The Governing Body are getting older and crankier they are beating the friends over the head constantly with guilt to cause them to do more, do more, do more,,all this has got to reach a boiling point and I think most of the Governing Body know this.

Be on the look out for more cries from the GB about the need for money,,they may try working on getting the friends to feel more and more guilty and worthless,, and then hit them up for more money so they can invest it or sock it away somewhere in Switzerland. They are selling some of thier property it would be interesting to see where that money goes,, as the GB worry more and more about thier exposed hypocrisy on the internet, and class action law suits,, I'm sure some are planning ahead to live a comfortable life with the friends donations made to the organization. They probably feel they will get away with it,,the same way Jim Baker of the 700 Club thought he would get away with it but instead wound up in prison.
