OK so the bible is a work of the early Roman church - If you could add any books to a new canon of 'scripture' what would you add - would you take anything out?
My starter for ten:
I think I'd take out Song of Soloman.
I'd like to see Narnian chronicles in.
If you could create a new canon - what books/ writings would you include?

Did you know there's a real Hitch Hikers guide to the galaxy on the BBC web site that anyone can send articles into.

I think it would be great if some of the good writers here put some articles up on "how to handle Jehovahs Witnesses" preferably in true humourous hitch hikers guide style.

Now THAT is a VERY good question. One I have to think about.
I'm sure that many writings will be included,

I'm beginnin to think we should put them all in the canon and shoot them off as far as we can.

I would throw out all Christian and Jewish scriptures replacing them with four novels by Ayn Rand
Atlas Shrugged, The Foutainhead, We the Living and Anthem.

If really all scripture (writing) is inspired and beneficial, I propose no canon at all (or an infinite canon, which is the same). Let every reader read and write his/her way in the library of Babel.

It's funny -- everyone is suggesting FICTION to replace the BIBLE.

Since the Bible is a book of fairytales it should be no surprise that fiction should replace it.
