My faith is now my own. It still needs work though.

I never felt spiritual or imbued with faith as a JW.

Now I have a very calm, strong faith, in knowing what I know and am ok if I turn out to be wrong.... I know I have lived my life as well as I could have and live for no regrets.

After the JW's I've found that actual understanding and the real world come from my studies of different cultures, beliefs, and sciences and many other things. So don't have much faith, but sure as hell have a lot more to live for.

My faith died. But I'm happier knowing that I don't believe in God, and even happier knowing I don't want to.

I don't need "faith" anymore. I'm looking inside my heart. This doesn't mean I know everything yet but that's ok. I don't need to as it would simply overwhelm me. I am learning in my own pace. I just know where to look for answers whenever I have questions. They are all there waiting for me. I am learning in my own pace. No god, no religion, no book needed anymore. I'm doing the same thing all founders of religions have done (Buddha sat under a tree for seven years, Jesus went into the desert, etc.). This guys weren't looking for answers outside themselves. They were looking inside themselves. They were successful as we know. And so am I. Because I'm no other than them. We are all humans.

I have just as much faith as I did back then, but the objects of my faith are different. I felt as if I was freed when I stopped trying to make myself believe in the Christian diety. Now I have faith in myself, faith in people, faith in science, etc....things I had no faith in when I was a JW.

Yes - never lost faith in God. It is not his doing that these men in Brooklyn made themselves into what they did and oppressed so many - but creation speaks to me daily and I feel more in tune with Jesus now, since as a witness I gave little thought to Jesus most of the time!

Have I lost faith in God?

Or did my faith outgrow "God"?
