"your continual struggle with your past life as a jw is in fact a cover for something else" - this struggle it seems is not unique but manifests itself in various way - i.e., people struggle deeply with various aspects of themselves on all sorts of matters - such matters include phobias, hatreds, obsessions and so on - and it seems that these struggles with the immediate represent something greater, perhaps something spiritual, something we rarely understand because we are essentially physical -

I want to know where these cults are that young people can join for sex!
You'd want the Raelians for that: www.rael.org
?This new philosophy, where spirituality, sensuality, and science come together ..."
They're also into extraterrestrials.

ah. i think i see what you're getting at. and it could likewise be said that individuals with a propensity for offering unsolicited, intimate counsel to strangers may very well be dealing with some deep, unrelated, emotional struggle as well. perhaps the counsel offered, while on the surface appearing to be directed towards an outside audience is actually a manifestation of the subconcious trying to work through these very same personal issues itself. no?(edited because i can't spell for crap)

Acsot,
Gee, that would certainly cut down on new recruits wouldn't it?
Or is it just another situation like the "annointed" vs the average JW, where the upper crust would be bonafide and the newly indoctrinated would be important by "association"?
Inquiring minds want to know............

edited to add----MY BAD! (and stoopid) read the comment to say they ARE extraterrestrials!!! duh

as odd as this may sound i believe that your continual struggle with your past life as a jw is in fact a cover for something else - i do not know what that something else is but i am almost 100 percent certain that somehow someone or something has used your jw experience to disguise some greater violation of your souls - any thoughts?
How peculiar. You seem to be applying that vague and unsupported statement to everybody here, when in reality all we have in common is that we were once associated with the Watchtower Society, or know someone who was/is, and that we have Internet access. What exactly are you saying and what are you basing it on? Or are you just trolling?

Seethesky, you are dead right! My frustration and aggravation with the JW religion is simply a continued manifestation of my disgust for all things deceitful and hypocritical. By the way, are you a Watchtower writer, as you seem to have the style down pat?

I believe nothing in my past is a cause to be upset in the present. If I would continue to have a self-pity party over it, I just cause my own upset. I have complete control over whether I let myself do that or not. If I notice I'm doing it, I can stop it right away. No need to upset yourself over and over again by something from the past. BTW, some of us have a present life with JWs that we "struggle" with, too.
But it seems you are indicating repressed memories of abuse or something. There's no way repressed memories can cause a person to become upset. If you don't remember it, it didn't happen, as far as your emotions anyway.
I've read where some people who were abused in childhood or marriage join JWs because some of the controlling ways seem comfortable to them, even if abusive in some ways. I am almost 100% certain that can't be the story for everyone, it's probably much rarer than you imagine.
