How about an "The Onion" type version of the Watchtower?

  I got the idea from a post I made on another thread.

  Sorry. I just took my meds. I suffer from Rutheford-Russel syndrome. It is an acute and severe form of schizophrenia which causes you to imagine yourself an agent of God, and all who don't agree with every word you say, an agent of satan.
  

  The patient is often overcome by a desire to publish silly magazines and bother strangers when they are at home, trying to watch a football game. When I am having one of my fits I work on my magazine, "The Look-Out-Tree-Fort".

  WOuldn't it be fun to make a periodic magazine pretending to be a new religion that is prophesying the return of our lord and savior, Evel Kneivel (or whoever).

  It be totally based on the jws, and it would have all sorts of articles about being loyal to Evel's organization. Use jw lingo and everything.

  And show all sorts of pictures of people going door-to-door. But instead of showing everyone as smiling and interested, show the Kneivel's Witnesses getting the crap kicked out of them.

  If nothing else, this could be a fun thread.

  I have *SO* wanted to do this. You could make it great with fake articles written in watchtower-style. Great fun.

  Problems for me: I already do this on another site and I update that one rarely enough as it is. Limited readership; no one would "get" the humor except JW's (who of course won't read it) and ex-Jw's, which number only a million or less. It's a tight space to try to generate any traffic in.

  If you build it, I guarantee I'll read it!

  Oh, I don't think it would generate much traffic. It would just be alot of fun.

  Sounds like a good idea to me, might even be theraputic to some to get a good laugh while at the same time getting deprogramed. Don't worry about how many will like it, experiment. There are many way to help people get deprogramed I think humor is one.

  Actually a way to boost numbers would be to make fun of all the one true religions.

  We could spoof iglesia ni cristo, the Armstrong denominations, the mor-(m)-ons, the Way, scientology... we could even make fun of the mlm let's get rich cults.

  We need to pick our diety carefully. Evel Kneivel isn't bad, it was just off the top of my head. What about Re-Run from What's Happening. He even joined a nature cult in one episode. We could get a jpg of that I am sure. Liberace wouldn't be bad. John Belushi. Chris Farley would be an EXCELLENT choice. I think that might be the winner!

  I am now declaring myself the one true faithful and discreet slave of Chris Farley. I am a Farley Witness. All who don't go door to door with me are going to die when Chris returns to pass his eternal judgement in the battle of Armpitfarts!

  Our official church will be, the Iglesia Ni Witnesses of Sun Young Farley and the Church of Latter Day Scientoligamway.
