    Yeah... unchangeable standards of "God"....

In ancient times it was "allowed"

Today you will be DF'd and definitely die at A for doing the same...?

    Justice?

What about 2 or more husbands?

Christians can have more than one spouse, just not at the same time.

Did women have more than one living husband or any male concubines to make babies for Christ??

As James Brown put it...."its a mans, mans, mans, mans....world...but it wouldnt be nuthin without a woman or a girl." We may worship God...but the God of the OT seems to bow at the altar of a lot of Guy's penises...

The Jewish system was Patriarchal, laws created for men by men. Just as so many middle eastern life styles were created. Men had the strength and power so the created a way of life that made them happy. And many many wifes seemed ideal to them. Though they headaches must have been terrible. LOL Personally I don't believe the Creator God of mankind had anything what so ever to do with any of the bible writings and concepts.

When JWs quote that "a man will leave his father and mother and stick to his wife", they suggest that this was ALWAYS God's way. Not true, though.

Supposedly he allowed it back in ancient times because of their bad attitude and also because he wanted his people to grow in number.

But it was only to be a temporary arrangement (whatever).

In Africa, the WTS had the policy of letting men keep the wives they had when they got baptized but not to get any new ones after that. That didn't change until 1947.
