I was looking over the article just before next Sunday's study article.

Taking in Knowledge Now and Forever

    The attraction is living forever.

A few statements show the trend of the article.

A compelling reason to be selective about knowledge is that our present life span is so shrt.

You realize that you will simply not live long enough to do so.

Could a field of knowledge be available that will prolong life significantly, even forever?

Please read the next article, which will offer you the prospect of taking in knowledge forever.

Still, he does not promise his readers that they could literally live forever.

However, there is one kind of knowledge that does promise everlasting life.

Conversely, if you did live forever, you could take in useful knowledge forever.

    John 17:3

Let us first define the term "everlasting life."

    Which will favor long life

not only surviving but also living forever

    never having to die again

    Never die at all

    Never dying

    Never die at all

    Everlasting life

    to gain everlasting life

    to gain everlasting life

    this means everlasting life

Knowledge that leads to everlasting life

    Never die at all

    live forever

Knowledge that leads to everlasting life

    everlasting life

    grant you everlasting life

    Education for life

    lead to everlasting life

enable you and your whole family to live forever

    now and forever

(all this in 4 short pages)

Delusional idiots. They want their dream and to f**k over anyone who dares mess with it. I guess when you live in the seclusion of Brooklyn bethel with all your needs taken care of you can afford to be delusional. Most people can't.

Knowledge, another one of those annoying terms jw's use. Is it possible for an atheist to know the Bible inside and out? Are they approved by the wt? Why not

Accurate Knowledge, another one of those annoying terms by jw's. Can an atheist know the Bible inside and out? Are they now approved by the wt? Why not? They have "accurate knowledge". Knowing about someone (in this case God, Jesus) is quite different than having some sort of (erroneous) knowledge of said person. It is similar to knowing everything you possibly could about a famous person , likes , dislikes, even their address, etc... But, you don't really 'know' them like your best friend or family member. A relationship is different than cold knowledge of someone. Which would you rather have people know about you or to actually know you? It seems, this is case where jw's speak (one of many) another language. It has been a continuous source of frustration for me. Words take on new and different meanings. Knowledge is not a relationship. carla

Let the WTS answer the question about what is true knowledge:

    ***

    w94 10/1 p. 8 The Bible?A Book Meant to Be Understood ***

Even as Bible prophecy pointed forward to the Messiah, it also directs us to the close-knit body of anointed Christian Witnesses that now serve as the faithful and discreet slave. It helps us to understand the Word of God. All who want to understand the Bible should appreciate that the "greatly diversified wisdom of God" can become known only through Jehovah?s channel of communication, the faithful and discreet slave.?John 6:68.

I'll wait to read your WT summery when it is posted.

And see how this paragraph goes,

Everlasting life is indeed the major lure offered by the fraudulent WTS package and it is forever hovering tantalisingly in the distance but always beyond their reach. Can anyone secure this by being a loyal member of their sect with its loathsome totalitarian spirit and the thousands of families it has ruined?

But isn't their version of everlasting life a statement of profound ignorance? Does the Bible say anywhere that there will be everlasting life on earth in human bodies of the nature we have at present that need to eat, drink, have sex?

So the WT says it has knowledge of God that has been hidden from all people but the Governing Body of JW's?

A person can know about God without really knowing God. To know God is to have a personal relationship with the one whom He sent forth into the world. As far as I've been able to ascertain from reading WTBTS literature spanning almost 100 years the WTBTS puts more emphasis on having a relationship with the organisation and its representatives in the congregation rather than a relationship with Jesus. Maybe I'm missing something here

An interesting question for a devote JW is, 'Would you still serve Jehovah (the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society) if there was no Everlasting life reward ?'.
