I liked the film a lot. There were some parts that surprised me in how they played out, and the best part of all was (spoilers) watching Palpatine reveal himself and his powers, culminating in the scene with Mace Windu. I also really like the central paradox and conundrum in the plot involving Padme. It also ends short and sweet, and not dragged out long like the LOTR ROTK ending. Here is my criticism: the CGI Yoda, at times, was too CGI, Anakin who had just earlier seemed to have a conscience, was just too quickly willing to do everything the Emperor wants, killing even little children, and the one plot hole I was afraid of there being was indeed left unresolved: How Leia could remember her mother? In fact, it was the one thing people were talking about as we left the theater.

yes thats true. i liked the "'good' lies in the eye of the beholder" part a lot. and the jedi breaking their own rules.

Leolaia, I think Leia said she remembered her mother because she was adopted and was remembering her adoptive mother. She didn't realize that she was a Skywalker until Luke told her that she was his sister towards the end of ROTJ. Remember, her name was Leia Organa.

I just bought 7 tickets on line for the opening weekend here in Huntington, Long Island. no costumes for me though.

It is for my sons 11th birthday and he wanted to have a Star Wars theme party with his buddies; exclusive tickets and dinner afterwards with his best buddies--what more could and 11 year old boy want? ( eh, some money? specifically a $50 bill)

He has these friends over every weekend and the boys all have light sabres and joust thorughout the property

I did this 30 years ago for the first Star Wars....who would have ever believed it would still be around!

Sith...Since Luke had asked her to remember her "real mother", from a storytelling point of view, we would presume that Leia in her response was talking about Padme (and not her adoptive mother), since that phrase implies that she knew she was adopted. Hmmmm...
