Both of them are jewels. I would still be flopping around like a fish out of water on some of the WT doctrines if it had not been for his writings. Ray Franz was one Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses member who put the bible before any doctrines of men and a lot of people are going to have everlasting happiness because he stood up to the WTBTS.

Without Ray and his commentary, many of us would still be trapped inside that Borg. Can you believe it's been 25 years since the scandal at Brooklyn? These 25 years went by way too fast.
No he wont be there. He was 83 last week. At this age it gets tough traverling. I spoke to him yesterday. He is a sweetie. needs our love ,prayers,good thoughts winging his way...

I would love to thank him. I wonder if he ever comes on this site, we could dedicate a thankyou thread to him.
It would make me feel better knowing that he knows how grateful I am to him.
Sometimes I feel Ive recieved a precious gift and havent said thankyou.
My feelings are the same as vitty's.
I've noticed also that Ray doesn't mention his wife much in his books but she was there at bethel when these things happened and she must love her husband more than she did the organization.I can't convince my wife that there is something wrong with the WTS,even the UN thing doesn't bother her!
Although I dont recall Rays wife being mentioned, I get the feeling she backs him up. Im sure it was mentioned somewhere that "they" have a group of ppl round for fellowship and to study the bible

Ray Franz is curiously silent about his wife's reaction.
I remember Heinz Schmidt claiming that Ray Franz' wife pleaded with the society to take her husband back into the organisation, claiming that she had written many such letters to the New York headquarters until recent years.
Apologetic rhetoric as that may be, one does get the sense from the absence of real discussion of his wife's views that Mrs Franz may not have been as willing a fellow 'conscientious' crusader against the 'Watchtower' as Ray Franz himself.
Of course I know that many here have actually met the pair, and fully expect to bashed about and told I do not know what the hell I am talking about...
I know that you seem to be trying to cut a niche out for yourself as purveyor of zealous truth, albeit based on intuition rather than reality, but it is always an idea to check your facts before you write a post. Then anybody who does choose to criticize your posts will be crticizing not yourself, but the facts.
If you do not have the facts, why bother offering an opinion?
