So how does the WTS justify the replacements? Maybe im wrong, but it seems to me that from what i can gather the wts doesnt really even talk about the anointed anymore. I guess they know they r in trouble with this idea as the number dwindles. It seems to me that they r just trying to cloud things over and make all people who r spreading thier news the FDS. Does this sound right?

The Watch Tower has two rules.

Rule #1. The Governing Body is always to be treated as if they are never wrong.

Rule #2. If the Governing Body is ever wrong . . . . see rule #1.

My question is how can we be sure that we are reading Jehovas word from the FDS if the FDS can be influenced by satan?

"That's why they need a two thirds majority vote."

If people were put to death for believing wrong docterines; why would Charles Russell be one of the anointed ruling in heaven since he obviously believed some wrong teachings which some were his own

Littlerockguy, you're far too kind. "He [Russell] obviously believed some wrong teachings..." Some??

I'd place the percentage much higher than that. The bulk of his Biblical interpretations turned on Christ returning to rule in 1874; oh, and I almost forgot, didn't Russell also teach that the last days started in 1799 or some such date (I may be wrong on this latter point). Russell was about as wrong as anyone could be and what amuses me is, the assumption he's up there helping guide the current worldwide work by JWs . Perhaps that's why it's in such a mess.

The absolute bedrock foundational problem with Jehovah's Witnesses is that they SPEAK IN JEHOVAH'S NAME and are proved wrong over time.

1.They predict and describe future events that do not happen

2.They interpret the "correct" understanding of scripture and then change the understanding (which renders the "correct" as incorrect.)

    3. They publicly draw attention to themselves as the only True religion and then bring reproach upon the name of the god they represent by false prophecy, child-molestation scandals and backpeddling.

In view of the above we have the following question for any elder:

The bible gives only one test for a false prophet: if what they proclaim as prophecy does NOT occur; they are a false prophet and are told not to fear them.

Why should we listen to or fear the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses since they have publicly demonstrated they have failed this test time after time??

JW's are not just WRONG (that is bad and embarassing enough). They are WRONG IN THE NAME OF JEHOVAH!

The bible clearly says"Do not fear them" because they are FALSE prophets.

    Terry,

The Governing Body deny that they are 'prophets' these days. The take on the mantle of 'interpreters' of God's Word.

    Revisionism at its best.

I like this: What would the Governing Body need to do to shake your faith in Jehovah's Witnesses and themselves?

When the answer comes back, "Nothing, ... that could never happen, ... absolutely impossible," tell them to go away until they've thought that through.

Terry I agree. They flat out have called themselves prophets, and have arguably claimed they were "inspired", even if not in those exact words. So they used the word prophet, now the question is what kind of prophet are you? If they say true they are lying because there prophecies havent come to pass. if they say false well then we all know the deal.
