I remember that whenever he would have a new video, it would be shown on network television during primetime. It was that big of an event.
I thought his Black or White video was a masterpiece, but then he had to mess it up by doing that dumb dance for about 10 minutes after the video grabbing his crotch and rubbing his thing there. That was just a bit over the top even for his diehard fans. -

Loved Off the Wall, Thriller was good, and enjoyed bad.
His last couple though, I have not cared for.
Overall, brilliant showman. Too bad his personal life is in the dumper.

Bad was when he disassociated himself as a Witness. I liked that one. The lyrics of "Man in the Mirror" seem to tell a story of why he left. I left right at the time that came out and can totally relate.
