The JW's Are Really In A Spiritual Paradise Now

    Dear Honesty,

It seems the tone of this thread is becoming hostile. I am sorry for that.

Perhaps it is due to your message of accept Jesus or suffer the consequences, is basically the very same as the Jehovah's Witnesses. The names may have changed, but the story line remains intact: do what I tell you or die. This is not love; it is however sociopathic insanity. Perhaps the very farthest thing from the caring of love. We can't expect caring people to not respond emotionally to that.

In my post above I mentioned your reference to Jesus' "unconditional love". Please let me say that I understand how you would want your deity -- who is the highest form of everything to you -- to express the highest form of love, which would be un-conditional. But the honest reality is that the scriptures which support him do not at all reflect such unconditional love. Here is a Christian website which presents scriptural proof that to believe in the Biblical God's unconditional love is to believe in a false doctrine; which is very honest of them. http://www.bereanpublishers.com/False_Doctrines/is_gods_love_unconditional.htm

I suggest Honesty, that if you respect your hearts wisdom that indeed if there is a God, it's love is UNCONDITIONAL, then you may have to step outside the tiny Biblical gods domain. There is far, far vaster understandings of God, if you but allow yourself to see.

You know, I too feel and perceive God's love as un-conditional; and I'm not a Christian. In fact I'm not a member of any belief system or religion; and yet, we may have more in common than you know. Then again, you may be of the mind to stand by your "unconditional loving" Lord as He kills every man, woman, and child on earth but you -- his humble worshipper. Then, we probably don't have all that much in common. Thank God.

Since you have attributed unconditional love to Jesus, please tell me why does it makes a difference whether the JW's or anyone does or doesn't "accept Jesus as their personal savior"?

We are born as sinners separated from God. Jesus took on our sin. He could do this because he was a sinless human. He was crucified on a pagan Roman cross and paid the price of sin for each human who will ever live. He offers the gift of everlasting life in paradise to all people who accept his gift. To those who reject his gift the price of sin still has to be paid for each human.

    Dear Honesty,

You have nothing to be sorry about J.T. We all have our opinions, beliefs and convictions. That is what makes the real world so different from the WT fantasy world. I asked for comments because I am interested in what other people think and feel about Jesus, Christianity, atheism, agnosticism, eastern beliefs, you name it, etc. I was also hoping to hear from a few JW apologists to get their views. One thing I learned while in the WT Lie is that people can be controlled on the surface but deep down inside lingers a free spirit who can reason and think for itself. People who continually suppress this inner spirit usually remain in the WT Lie. It could be because the borg makes them feel comfortable and secure. I know many of them actually believe the WTBTS has the only truth to be found. I just wonder if the idea that they live in a spiritual paradise is really how their inner spirit feels about it. Maybe I should have phrased it a little easier.

Here, dear Honesty is were we differ. God, is realized as truly unconditional; too infinitely vast to be "separated from"; too infinitely available and loving to have anyone "pay a price of sin".

Our different views are simply from gleaming truth first-hand from the present living-moment of Life, as apposed to second-hand, from the pages of an old book.

I wonder, if you were born in Iran and brought up with teachings of the Koran, would you now be shouting: Allah, Allah?

hmmm...one thing I always wondered was this: how come he paid for my sins before I was born? I mean, if I had a chance to KNOW someone was going to die for MYsins, and had to go through all that anyway, I woulda come up with some better, bigger sins.

Danny...love the barfing smileys...thanks...my son is amused too..

    =)
