Why not just come out with what you know instead of the vagueness?
Surely, to an expert, it's no problem to trace an IP address, at least to country and is it possible to trace to city?
My son's friend, I suppose you'd call him a hacker, used to 'attack' back at computers that were attempting to hack into his, and he would trace the country and town.
Whenever I'm on JWD my firewall is flashing red and repelling boarders. I don't have that problem on ebay!
sorry fleaman,
Im not trying to be vague.
i hear you Ipsec...thanks for the Pm
One poster here told me in PM that when they were DF'd the elders pulled out a sheet of posts from this site to use as evidence against them. Due to that being a private message I cannot reveal of whom I refer.
They are watching!

Then you have to ask yourself how the information comes about. Even if Brooklyn is collecting the data all they can do is send it to the congregations in that particular town and see if any of the personal info discussed matches up with anyone the elders know. The problem is that most of the members here are already Df'd, DA'd, left before baptism, or are the unbeleiving spouse of a JW. Many of the faders have moved since they left, and finally many members live in urban areas where their could be a thousand JW's and former dubs using the same ISP and browser. Or finally, the corispondance could have ended up the hands of a new elder who came long after you left.
I'd say that cut back the number of potential apostates they can flush out. That being said I'm still not posting a real picture of myself in the avitar
Im fairly certain that in the UK it would be downright illegal to try to persecute someone via info they gained off a personal IP address........
Hi fleaman uk,
It may be illegal, but that wouldn't necessarily stop the WTBTS since they feel that their 'purpose' is above any law of any land and only they have the backing of God.
I suspect them have some pretty clever computer JWs working for them and are more likely to go after those nearer to the 'top'.
Wanna be a spy for us?
Snoozy...
I've had someone track down a state and a city and a really close area of a poster before..so they can get pretty close to the general area of someone if they want..
Snoozy...
Am not very clever when it comes to PC-speak - is the IP address the one displayed beneath the poster's name? Because that cannot be unique to the PC - is it just the Internet provider? If so, does that mean Gill, Fleaman and myself all use the same IP?
