Well, having attended the Book Study this week, we started the first few chapters in the new brochure, "Keep On The Watch"

And, as predicted by myself, the brother taking the study blames the Catholic Church for all the sexual abuse.

Another classic example of the ostrich mentality.

Of course, there is another explanation - the brother conducting is just a ministerial servant - it's possible that he has no clue as to what's happening...

But there are probably thousands of witnesses attending this study, who quietly cringe when they read this comment.

And that is just how the Society likes it, people left in the dark.

As you've said, they keep their heads in the sand, and try to keep the flock ignorant of what's REALLY happening within their own society. They are told not to listen to, or watch programs that expose their own deep dark secrets....they continue to point fingers at the Catholic church, but they fail to realize that there are three fingers pointing back at them when they do this. They will always use the Catholic church as a scapegoat. The way the JW's treat the vicims is repulsive, and one day they will answer for their dirty deeds.

I wonder how many elders and ms's there are in the org. who know the truth about sexual abuse. I also wonder how many know the truth about it and know the org. is a fraud. I imagine if there are a lot of them and one day a lot of them stand up during these studies and tell the truth, well I imagine some kids might be saved from molestation.

Very typical of the Governing Body to blame the Catholic Church for sexual abuse, I guess they can't see the forest for the trees. Or they refuse to tell of their own quilt.

I believe if I had been in attendance and knew of the sexual abuse in the organization I would have spoke up, but that is me. There are times I wish I was in the organization again as a spy and speak out among the congregation all the lies perputrated by the Governing Body. Like heck who are they trying to kid and yet they have blinded the brothers and sisters to the real truth. They haven't got the fortitude to tell them the truth of what is really happening in congreagations today. I would bet a million dollars that a huge falling away from the organization would occur.

Today when I was outside at the farmers market I went down a quiet street on the way home and I spoke to a lady who was having a garage sale and after a few minutes of speaking to her i told her I had been in a cult and I believed it was fear that kept me in the organization, fear of man, fear of armaggedon, and fear of my parents, fear of the elders, especially my father. And i think to myself that why did I allow my self to be so caught up in fear. I strongly believe that many Jehovah's witnesses are afraid to spread their wings out of fear and reprecuations from the elders and the organization. I mean can you imagine going into the Kingdom Hall and saying to the friends there that you have learned of many cover ups by the organization. Man they would kick you out the door so fast .

Yes sir I would love to tell them all that the society are a bunch of lousy hypocrites.

I have deep pity for those still being lead astray by the organization. Lets hope God has mercy on those who truly have hung on to every lie emulated by the Governing Body.

    Love Orangefatcat.

    Everytime I hear this sort of stuff I think - Luke 6 v 41!!!

I think by pointing the finger elsewhere they're trying to take the focus away from themselves.

I believe the organization has a serious lack of empathy. They seem to be unable to draw a parallel with the Catholic church as far as...well... many things. Particularly the sexual abuse though.

They are like little children. You know how little kids can identify when their feelings have been hurt by another kid yet they will do the same thing to someone else and they just don't see how it is the same.

For some reason when this kind of stuff happens in other religions it is appauling to them , yet in the org it is human for people to make mistakes and loving not to report it. Who would have thunk it!!!

Don't you have to wonder ..with all the hate they seem to have for the Catholic Church..what their real motive is?

Could there be a little jealousy there?

That's all they ever did when I was going..bash the Catholic Church.

I guess they have to get their kicks somewhere..pointing fingers at others and never noticing four are pointing back at them!

    JMO..Snoozy..

There's a famous hymn that goes "It's me. It's me. It's me, O Lord, standing in the need of prayer." The Watchtower Society has bastardized it into "It's them. It's them. It's them, O Lord, standing in the need of prayer."

What was that scripture where Jesus said, "Let he who THINKS he is standing pray that he does not fall." Too bad the gov bod didn't take Jesus seriously.
