    Welcome to JWD Jimakazi!

That they have the only truth, and at armagedon all not JW's will die; Since leaving I have encounted many good people with true faith [as in belief without evidence]. My answer to this is a scenario that goes like this; A highschool, the principal puts the final exam notice up in a crytic code. There is much debate and he refuses to give any sign he is in the office. Some kids turn up on when they thought the exam would be, but there was no exam, some eother kids turn up and they are lucky, sit and pass their exams, the kids from the 1st group and all the kids who thought it was tomorrow have just failed. As imperfect human beings would we accept this? That principals arse would be toast - right? Yet we are expected to beleive that Jehovah puts critical information pertinant to our very survivial in cryptic bible passages, gives no sign that he favours any one of thousands of faiths, yet will kill you forever for not figuring it out, [AKA trusting the Watch Tower Bible and Tract society to get it right]. If this is indeed true then this would be a god I could not respect let alone love. I will NOT love someone just because to do otherwise measn they will kill me - it's insane

I loved this analogy of yours! It's pretty much the same conclusion I drew after a few months of not attending the Kingdom Hall, now I know why they say never miss a meeting they fear your brain may kick in if you aren't continually being bombarded with the INSANITY!

My bio says I'll go back when pigs fly, I should add to that or when God speaks directly to me and tells ME he is using the WTS to spread the Kingdom message. If there is a God why doesn't he speak to us in a manner we can understand? I've since thrown out the Bible as being inspired by doG, it's just another story book, perhaps the Greatest Story ever told? Perhaps not? I've read better.

Again welcome and let it all out, you'll feel so much better!

Welcome buddy. You hit it right on the head. Apostacy doesn't come from some outside source, all you have to do is think for yourself.

Welcome to the board!!! A lot of your observations and experiences with the Dubs are similar to what I encountered.

Similarly my parents feel they are a complete failure because my brother and I are no longer Dubs...Both well adjusted and happy. Healthy. Both financially independant and doing well. But the Dubs ALWAYS ONLY SEE THE NEGATIVE....never the positive. For if they really look around and see how great live is then they are apostates themselves. SAD!!!

How about a few of the books referred to in "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy": "Where God Went Wrong", "Some More Of God's Greatest Mistakes", and "Who Is This God Person Anyway?"

Hi Jeffro, thanks for the suggestion. I've made a note of the books and will look into them not sure if I'll actually get or read them but it's worth a looksee.
