Outlawing religions is a JDub phophesy not a biblical one.

I have never heard of this teaching outside of the JWs. So you can rest assured it's as looney as 1874, 1914, 1915, 1975, blood, door-to-door preaching, 144,000, etc, ad nauseum.

But I would recommend you take a break from the news. Like Annie says, you can't do much about many things you hear; and fretting can take its toll in your life--and on those around you if you aren't careful...

Now to top off all this advice, you have to do the Macarena.

I always settle my mind very quickly by saying to myself How many politicians claim to be athiest? I can only speak for my country and it's a tiny percentage. So, would poiticians destroy their own forms of worship?

That's where the jw "prophecy" fell down. It was assumed that governments would inevitably become godless. Wow have they been proved WRONG!

Wars, hunger, earthquakes and all the things listed in Matt 24: 1-14 (read onwards too 'cos the prophesy doesn't just end at :14) have always happened and will continue to do so. It's just that in 'those' days the distribution of news wasn't as easily done as it is today - that's why we get to hear about "all these things".

Besides is "the end"" going to be a literal thing at a literal time....nah..... Think about how figurative the bible is from Gen 1:1 right through....

    Hi Jojo,

I find it useful to rationalise this way:

If the Jehovahs Witnesses are right and Jehovah is the supreme God, and he is going to bring the big A soon...where most of the people on the globe get killed....well I don't want to be in HIS paradise. Jehovah sounds like a very mean and cruel individual from the JW standard.

I know some beautiful people who are not JWs and who do belong to other religions. The truly nasty people are few and far between, because most upset and pain is caused through weakness.

If Jehovah is going to destroy them all, then I want no part in it. I'd rather live a good life now and die at armageddon.
