20 years old is way too young for any guy to get married-------but when you're a Dub, that's the only way you can get laid, so that's why so many get married so young. Hell I've seen weddings where the guy is 18 and the girl 16 and they let them get married at the Hall. Sounds like the local elders have got too much free time on their hands.............

I agree that its bizarre to not attending the wedding because you think the couple is rebelling against the elders, yet it's OK to attend the reception! That is some strange, convoluted thinking - or more accurately non-thinking.
I was rasied a JW - and married an 18-yr-old when I was 20. My buddy, also raised a JW, was a few years older than me - and married a 16-yr-old.
Wayyyyy to young to know what you're doing, and you change in huge ways over the years. We're all divorced now - and three of us no longer are JWs.

Yeah i was goin to make the same comment as Blondie....why does your mum think she can attend the reception and not the ceremony? If i didnt agree with a wedding I would still attend the ceremony isnt that the most important part? and not the party afterwards???? Es
