    ip-sec has good taste! beastie boys are awesome pioneers of music.

    there will only ever be one vanilla ice though

    edited to add: you cannot even begin to class the beastie's as just a rap group, they are multi genre, multi talented, playing multiple instruments each. started off as a punk band back in the early 80's. and always keeping it real to both punk & hip hop and many other sounds. to the five borough's was kicking it back to old school hip hop, but if you check out their aglio e olio ep from '95, it's clear to see them keeping it real with the new york punk roots too. check your head set them in stone, ill communication was full of instrumentation... very few bands or artists (if any) can claim to be from the same pod as the beastie boys.

    Definitely, They were one of the original genre crossers.. Just like Black Eyed Peas, Big & Rich, and Nelly and Tim McGraw pairing up.
