    I can't stand rap. I don't see how it is called "music". I like some sort of melody. The words that I have heard are offensive to me also and I wouldn't want my children to be around that sort of garbage. Just my opinion.

    To be honest, I haven't listened to the words of but one or two rap songs and it just turned me off. It just seemed a rebellious rant to berate the normal society of decency. I've never listened to the words of music very much, I usually liked instrumental music. Recently I have been paying attention to some of the words(of normal music) and they sometimes tell a good story. It just seems the rap culture is not very well adjusted to life without drugs and immoral sex practices, with violence mixed in. Maybe I've just seen the bad ones.

    Undecided, Id say you got a pretty accurate picture of 90% of rap music with your sampling of 2 songs.

    Soladad, according to the US government they are... Caucasian is pretty much a meaningless distinction

    Who can understand the words?

    I just like any music with a good sound.but....I have no idea what the rappers are saying...

    And I am of the "older generation"..

    As far as the loudness goes..as you grow older you realize how important it is to be able to hear! (Cause you can't see..)

    In a few years you are going to see a rise in the sale of "Hearing aids"..to the YOUNG...

    Why do they play it so loud?

    Any thoughts on this?

    I think it's because they want others to hear how "Cool" they are..they are "Cool" because they listen to a certain artist..

    Just like they are "Cool" by wearing certain clothes...

    Snoozy....one cool quiet cat..who appreciates her hearing...

    ps..you know the music is too loud when the windows of your house rattles when their car goes by...
