I grit my teeth, I tell you, I just grit them when I hear comments like this one. This one guy in the KH has these lame ass comments all the time, and here is his latest,

"We ARE sad about family that does not believe in Jehovah anymore. But we need to move on from that and view the congregation as our family and focus all of our attention on our spiritual brothers and sisters."

I wanted to run up, grab his throat and yell,

"So they don't believe in Jehovah, but do they believe in God?" "What kind of people are they? What kind of lives do they lead? "How are they soooooooooo different than you?" "What would Jesus say about a comment like that?" "Why does it make them unworthy associates just because they don't believe what you believe?" I could go on and on, but it was such an simple-minded comment, I just can't believe I too thought like that once upon a time.

JWs (myself included when I was a JW) make ignorant comments like that all of the time.

One difference between JWs and everyone else is that JWs are crafty at hiding their wrongdoings.

    Hang in there, Jez!

Its just a flawed thought process they have all bought into, the same kind of flawed thought process that allowed what were probably many decent Germans to go along with the Nazi regime, or allow people to rationalize killing innocent people in the name of a cause. JW's have allowed themselves to be taught a twisted thought process that reduces all non-JW's to almost non-personhood.

Good point BD. They are masters at rationalization and not taking responsibility for their actions.

It's serious double speech. They'll act like the greatest individuals in the world when it's at the job or whatnot, then go behind the person's back and talk about how much they're going to die at armeggedon.

    Oh I remember those comments..........geez!

When I first started going with my most wonderful husband....I got that from the KH drones.

We are your family. We love you...Your biological family isn't important...Your family in Jehovah is important.

Well my biological family has never turned their backs on me....or told me not to buy a turkey....or called me a demonized person because I questioned them...

I really feel badly for these people when they come to realize the truth about what's behind the curtain in Crooklyn and they try to go back to their families...so many hurt feelings from this pompous behavior.

    It's just so wrong.

Does anyone think Jesus would turn his back on his mother, earthly father, or siblings if they didn't go to his temple, talks, etc?

Let's face it. The JW cult dehumanizes and turns its faithful members into mindless robots.

They lost their individual thinking and can only think in accordance with the collective mind as determined by the GB so they make silly comments like this, you shouldn't take them seriously.

    That's classic Georgia! lol

That dude at the hall wasn't speaking from his heart, he is merely regurgitating what he has heard so many times before in order to justify the pain and loss they feel, and project it on to those of us who get sacrificed in the process. Blood is always thicker than water, and no amount of spiritual bonding will ever replace the bonds of family. Families a gift, it's sad that these people (and we who used to think like them) have forgotten this. frog x

A dub will protest vehemently that they don't serve an organisation, nor that they hold Jehovah to be equal to "The Organisation".

Of course, outsiders may see their position quite differently - so how to get the average R&F to see the reality of what they believe?

It's very difficult. Somehow you have to get them to see the difference, but how? Well, could you show at least some major fault that clearly demonstrates that it couldn't be what it claims to be or perhaps show that there's been a major stuff-up that has caused untold misery to its members?

    Think along those lines.
