Here's one more thing that I've learned today (who says you can't teach an old dog....) I discovered that I wasn't the only one to hide the goodies in the shopping cart LOL! And here I thought I was so cool!
How SAD it is that mere "men" could make us feel so bad about something so nice-----giving to others to bring a smile to their faces.

I sent everything and anything, kinda making up for what I couldn't send!
I like to buy porno birthday cards. Always gets a good laugh. Christmas cards are different. This year I am making a real effort to buy the Christmas cards, and have a good time with it.
I was in there for 15 years, my wife for 30 (all her life) years. We were very dedicated. We came out because of a matter of abuse and the elders just went on covering it up not to bring “reproach on J’s name”, so they said. We could not be part of such hypocrisy anymore. We investigated and realized that most of the rules were man made with scriptures misapplied. One year later we were celebrating birthdays, Christmas, Easter, mothers day, fathers day, Childs day, dogs day, cats day, shi*s day, whatever day we could find to celebrate. We have never been so happy in our lives. There is not a single scripture that one can point to me in the bible about not celebrating birthdays. JW’s base the celebrating on 2 scriptures just because a person was killed on each occasion. I am sure that many witnesses die per year by car accident, is that stopping them from driving a car????? NO! They should in fact follow Jesus foot steps and rid on an ass.

When we were dubs we used to celebrate my mum and dads wedding anniversary so that there was an excuse to buy me presents, and my uncle and aunty used to buy WINTER presents for their kids. I mean how ridiculous?
We used to joke at them waking up on christmas morning and telling each other 'happy winter', having a turkey ' winter dinner' and some winter crackers!
My 'soon to be ex-parents in law' (you know who I mean Lou) send my children money and a 'We're Thinking Of You Today' card on the children's birthday. They claim to be zealous JW's etc yet they are so hypocritical It makes my spunk bubble!

Awwww now thats just not fair on my nearly was ex father in law (thank god it was only a normal kiss and not a tongue kiss of he'd have had me married into the clan too!!)
I always suspected they were bending the rules...
