I'm new to the boards, but I love this topic! My mother converted in '60, literally overnight, no Christmas, Easter, Birthdays, nothing. Dad didn't, so we had a tree the first few years but no presents. Jump ahead 12 years....I married "out of the truth" (publicly reproved), husband didn't care about Christmas, so why bother! Tree years later our son was born......gave gifts in December, no tree (inactive since marriage), when son was 14 and daughter 15 months old, moved to Florida....the first thing my son asked for was a Christmas Tree......he didn't ask before that because he didn't want me to have to take a lot of "guff" from his Grandmother, Aunts, Uncles and the congregation. It took a while, but now, 16 years later.....we do it right!
Hang in there, it gets easier and more fun!
