Could Michael Jackson Be Seeking Re-instatement?

    I can't help but wonder if MJ is trying to get in good graces with Jehovah's Witnesses in order to be re-instated. Or, whether he feels attending Kingdom Hall gives him a better image. Or whether he just wants his children to have some type of religious following. What do you think?

    See "Jacko in the clear. Prayers with his children."

    I have to think his public linkage with the Reverend Jesse Jackson would nix any move to re-instatment with the WTBTS society.

    Of course strange things have happened in boxy little back rooms in windowless buildings before.

    Do you think even the WTS wants him to continue publicly admitting sleeping with other people's children as a JW?

    I wonder too about his association with the Reverend Jesse Jackson and Reverend Jackson praying with him?

    rs p. 295 Prayer ***

    If

    Someone Says—

    ‘Pray

    with me first, then give me your message’

    You

    might reply: ‘I’m glad to know that you are a person who appreciates the importance of prayer. Jehovah’s Witnesses also pray regularly. But there is something that Jesus said about when and how to pray that may be new to you. Did you know that he told his disciples not to offer public prayers with a view to having others see that they were devout, praying persons? . . . (Matt. 6:5)’ Then perhaps add: ‘Notice what he went on to say should be of primary concern to us and what we should put first in our prayers. That is what I have come to share with you. (Matt. 6:9, 10)’

    Or

    you could say: ‘I know that representatives from some religious groups do that. But Jehovah’s Witnesses do not, because Jesus instructed his disciples to go about their work of preaching in another manner. Instead of saying, "When you enter a house, first pray," notice what he said, as found here at Matthew 10:12, 13. . . . And see here in verse 7 what they were to talk about. . . . How can that Kingdom help people like you and me? (Rev. 21:4)’

    Even though he was acquitted, his attorney said on TV that these last 5 months have been extremely hard on Michael.

    At low points like this, people are most vulnerable to promise-making groups like the JW's. And his JW mother probably is encouraging him to think about the JW's again.

    MJ has a choice to make here -- to revive his career, or to just recede into a more private life. If he takes the second option, he might agree to play by the JW rules again. Who knows? He's done crazier things.

    If he does, then he must be totally nuts.

    Poor kids. They'll have to suffer all the things he complains about having had to suffer, no Christmas, birthdays, easter, US flag salute, blood transfusions in an emergency.

    Crazy cult and IF he does go back to dub land, crazy man!

    If MJ did "repent" and go back to the J-Dubs the Org would have a feild day using him as a 'poster boy'.

    Wouldn't they find him an embarrassment? Or do you think money will tallk?

    If I was a JW still I would be very embarrassed that this obviously disturbed man, who is distubed probably because of his childhood experiences is publicly going back to the roots of his illness.

    It would be making me think about where I stand!

    From the Sun news item, quoting a member of the Congregation;

    “He always comes here but he does not associate with us. He sits in the back room where we usually seat people if the main room is too full."

    Ah, don't you just love theorcratic warfare? Engage translation from Dub-speak to English;

    “He dis-associated himself a decade or more ago, and because of that we do not associate with him. He sits in the back room where we usually seat people who are being shunned by the caring, sharing Congregation of Jehobler's Critian Widlesess"

    Gawd. Why do they make a production out of praying in Burger King then?

    This quote means they will refuse to pray with someone in FS, right? That is so bizarre, and I don't remember that rule so I guess I'm shocked. How could praying be bad?

    Dear lord, can you imagine him going out on field service - he'd need a retinue with him, one to wipe the door bell for him, one to knock the door, one to hold a hanky over his nose so the householder doesnt give him germs.

    Moonwalks backwards down the path - "Good HEEE HHEEEEH morning, SHAMMOHH" (grabs crotch)
