While COC made me think a lot more that I wasn't in the "truth", it was ISOCF that put the final nail on the WTS coffin for me.
I'm very very greatfull to Ray Franz for having the courage (and for actually taking the time) to write both those books.

How nice to see the respect shown to Ray Franz in this thread, even calling him Mr Franz. That's a good example to us aussies!
The respect shown to him comes from his courage in his life course and for his words in print. Truly an elder statesman exDub. When the time eventually comes for him to finish his life on earth we can well imagine that these words written of Abraham might well apply to him too:
"Then Abraham expired and died in a good old age, old and satisfied, and was gathered to his people." - Genesis 25:8 (NWT)

I read COC and ISOCF in 1997. I left the dubs in 1972. After I read those books I beat my head on the wall for two hours. It hurt my head, but I felt better when I was done.
The wall had a few dents, though.
